Cova del Montgó

This was a stunning hike from the clay pigeon shooting club car park (found the hike on all trails app!), and an excellent way to spend a few hours on a January afternoon.

The walk isn't long but it gets steep in some places and could be slippery if the ground is wet. Parts of the path were also overgrown but easy to stay on if you have your GPS or a good eye.

Be sure to wear strong footwear and have a good breakfast, or take a packed lunch! As mentioned we did this in January when it was 20°C but I imagine it would be a much tougher hike in the heat of summer!

Amazing hike! Perfect trail for beginners or for making a fun and comfortable mountain hike. The views in the Montgo Eye are amazing! Just as amazing as standing inside this huge cave in the side of the mountain. Personally recommend this trail for anyone that’s fit. Tip: take a portable bluetooth speaker with you for great music vibes in the Eye

El camino a la Cova del Montgó no está dentro de las rutas oficiales que establece el Parque Natural.
Pero si tomamos como referencia el sendero oficial hacia la cima del Montgó, que es el marcado como PR 355. Muy cerca de donde parte esta ruta, sale el camino hacia la Cova del Montgó: en la plana Justa, unos 50 metros antes de empezar la senda oficial hacia la cima, la pista forestal gira a la izquierda, y a unos 150 metros hay un mojón que es donde empieza la senda hacia la Cova. Este sendero no está tan bien definido como el de la cima, es más inclinado y más duro, pero también es más corto: se tarda en llegar a la Cova en torno a media hora o cuarenta y cinco minutos.

Preparado para una hora de subida intensa que merece la pena porque las vistas y la cueva son espectaculares.

Es difícil llegar hasta esa cueva, pero no mucho. Yo y mi familia hemos tardado más o menos dos horas en subir, pero descansando un poco cada cinco minutos. Las cuevas no son muy grandes, pero muy bonitas profundas. Hay mucho polvo, por eso no os recomiendo ir en vuestra ropa favorita. Es una experiencia muy bonita, os recomiendo ir a esas cuevas:)

До этой пещеры сложно добраться, но можно. Мы с семьёй туда добирались два часа, но это с остановками каждые пять минут. Пещеры не очень большие, но глубокие и очень красивые. Там очень много пыли, так что я вам не рекомендую идти туда в вашей любимой одежде. Если хотите куда нибудь залезть без большого риска для жизни, то вам туда, рекомендую:)
