Nice small place in a beautiful little town… the Flammkuchen was really good and the price was very good. Friendly staff and clean. It is worth a visit.

Stumbled on this place by accident and managed to get a table even though it was busy after a wine fair. Staff were friendly and really efficient and the food was superb. Great tarte flambé and delicious onglet de beouf. Great choice!

Wonderful traditional Alsatian experience. We were seated right away with a group of six for lunch with no reservation. The menu is extensive but we were focused on the tarte flambees. We tried a few different styles and loved them all - best we had in our short stay in France! The servers are very attentive and we would highly recommend!

In the middle of a small Alsace village, you'll find a heart-warming restaurant located in a semi-basement of an old house in a small secluded garden. The interior is made extra-cozy by all the random antiquities scattered around the room. You can easily spot the owner of the place, he's personally overlooking the entire process. The food is predominantly local cuisine, no fancy stuff but quite delicious. Ask for their black-currant-sparkling-wine apperitif (Kir Royal, based on the local crémant) before your meal. If you're in for a midday meal, be sure to be there no later than one o'clock, otherwise you might not get a seat or miss the kitchen's operational time. Tip: there's more seating on the top floor of the restaurant.

Wonderful regional specialties in a great setting- inside or outside. The staff was friendly and communicated well. Highly recommend when you are in Eguishiem. Reservations suggested for dinner.

It’s Alsatian traditional restaurant - the best in Eguisheim! Must visit place because of interior, food and wine! Staff is very helpful. When you see majestic Eguisheim it’s best idea to rest here.. strongly recommend!

Eguisheim is a beautiful village where flowers and birds charm us. Accessible from Colemar, this village has been declared as a model village in a competition by European Commission. Thanks.

Escargot is very good, first time tried flambée and its very tasty too.

Likes: local food was good. Good portions, fresh ingredients. Dessert: crème brulée was nice though the flambée could have used a bit more brandy to further crispy caramelize it. The Choucrout garni was good, big portion. (Could not finish my 2 potatoes.) Friendly waiters. Nice outdoor seating under umbrellas on a small square with a big tree providing nice shade and natural setting. There are even 4 parking lots in front of the restaurant. Ample parking nearby. Dislike: nearby vacant house had pigeons producing droppings left on the square that smelled a bit from where we were sitting.

Sometimes it's the people that make the difference and this place has good people. Right from the off you're made to feel welcome and the servers have very good language skills being in a tourist spot. We only had flammenkuche (I say "only" because it's closing in on pizza territory) but the smoked salmon and herbs worked a treat and washed down with a little Alsace wine that wasn't particularly expensive by restaurant standards. The feeling is that this is where the locals go and no doubt I'll visit here each time we go to Eguisheim. Had a quick natter with the owner, nice guy and was very accommodating when I mentioned a small party booking for the year after.

We might have been the last ones to order food that night. Nobody made us feel rushed, we were amongst the last to leave and everything made for a splendid night out in this beautiful old town. You can't book but if you turn up and you're told it's a 15 / 30 minute wait just take a seat on the steps and wait because it's worth it.

We really enjoyed our meal. We were in a cellar, enjoyed the Flambees and spaetzle bake. The chocolate sauce in the ice cream sundae was delicious.

Great place with a lovely outdoor seating area. Extremely busy, you may need to wait for a free table. The service is efficient and attentive, the food as well as drinks were great. Good value for money. We are looking forward to coming back again.
