La Maison Vari

We live locally in Monbazillac and we've had several fantastic experiences at Maison Vari now. Sylvie and her team work very hard to please their customers and at all times we have been kept informed about any wait times or food availability. The food is always excellent, deliciously fresh and good value. Highly recommend all the salads! The atmosphere in the courtyard garden is delightful - peaceful and shady - and the service is great and friendly. We had a party of eleven people last week for a 50th birthday celebration which was no problem (booked a few days in advance).

The food is locally sourced. Fresh and ideal light lunch. Service is personal and delightful. Would highly recommend for a mindful lunch to absorb the atmosphere of France and leave your cares and hassle and bustle of the world outside.

Delightful! An oasis of shady calm. Very welcoming. Relax in their lovely garden after your visit to the chateau at Monbazillac. You can walk up to La Maison Vari from the chateau car park.

Lovely cafe with tables set in the garden. The owner is very friendly and helpful....could have stayed all day! Feels far more authentic than the tourist trap place round the corner.

Just had a lovely lunch here. The food is so fresh and great for a lunch stop off. The garden a little oasis and the hosts are very welcoming.

Very nice for an extended lunch...We visited the chateau first then went here for a lunch..three adults and a teenager. Got the mixed plates with cheese, meats and bread plus some local wine. All came to 38 euro which was good and the quality of the food was nice. The wine was very well priced by the glass and I have to complement the staff who were so pleasant. Highly recommended.

Absolutely exceptional food, the best gazpacho I have ever tasted. A short but perfect menu.

A simply perfect lunch in the garden here. Excellent menu and wine at refreshingly reasonable prices. Very good, friendly service. Background jazz too. Strongly recommended.

Lovely spot, delicious salads at lunch, and a quiet spot under the trees. Madame was very friendly, and nice to see and try the wines of the chateau in the shop.

Good place to stop for lunch on a visit to Monbazillac. The menu is simple - plates of cold meat, cheese or salad - the food is excellent quality and the manager was keen to talk about the area (both in English and French) and helpful when recommending local wines to try.

Gorgeous place. Lovely staff and really good food and wine. Lots of things for small people you play with as well. Recommended.

Very nice and hospitable host! Speaks English and Mandarin too! Amazing. Wine is good and well worth the price.

L'accueil est très chaleureux, le lieu charmant, les produits de qualité. Les prix sont raisonnables, 4€ pour 2 boules de glace artisanale dont une succulente "fraise du Périgord".

Le service impeccable de la proprio Sylvie, le menu simple de charcuterie, fromage et salade et le vin liquoreux typique de la région (fait par la famille propriétaire du restaurent, essayer le 2003!) délicieux…quoi dire plus! Un déjeuner/dîner parfait.
