Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport

Tiny little airport which was efficient and easy to get through. Toilets were clean and tidy and overall airport was clean. Very quick to get through and would fly here again.

Visited last on Septemeber 2019. We were really using the airport ✈ at Bergerac as a convenient drop-off and pick-up point for our children this year as we have in the past. We first visited in 2002 when the airport was nothing more than a couple of small buildings with a handful of flights a week. But how it has come on, it really is a busy little regional 🛬 airport that offers services on a daily basis to and from the UK plus other European 🇪🇺 destinations.

So thanks to a three hour delay of our daughter's flight from Birmingham with Flybe and having dropped our son at the airport at 8.30am courtesy of Jet2, we had six or so hours to enjoy Bergerac.

The airport is easy to find. Parking is straight forward, inexpensive and with every other car an English car, it's obviously very popular with the ex-pat community and due to its convenience and ease of use it's not surprising to see why it's so popular.

It's hastle free air travel, or at least it certainly is at the French end 🇪🇺.

Bergerac, a town we have visited several times in the past yet one we have never really taken any time to explore. We realised very quickly that we should have taken more time in the past, as we visited on a busy market Saturday with all the hustle and bustle of life that accompanies a French Market.

What a great town Bergerac is, sat right next to the banks of the Dordogne River.

It was a lovely summer's market Saturday. We loved our visit to Bergerac, so much to see and do, also so much to eat and drink. Next time we'll stay even longer, and maybe a visit to one of the many vineyards 🍷 🍸🥂🍽🍾🍴🥄🔪.

So Bergerac and its' airport, two good reasons to forget Brexit (if you really needed anymore reasons) and certainly a great place to visit to forget about it 👍🏼 🇪🇺 🇫🇷 🇬🇧🏴??????✈🛬🍷🍸🥂

Great airport to use, never really busy, free parking for dropping off or collecting easy to get to what's not to like?

Early October 2023 - Landed at Bergerac on a Friday afternoon and got through very quickly. Very small airport building but very adequate for time of year we came. Departures on our return home was quick efficient. Overall a lovely little airport calm and friendly. We arranged to be collected and dropped off by our host. Public transport is non existent at the time we went, ( Oct 2023 ) taxis are very few and far between, there were just 3 waiting outside for people off the incoming flight! Car hire is available.

Great airport, it's like going back in time. Friendly staff, no fuss, it took 30 minutes from landing, until driving off in a hire, which is brilliant

I am a disabled traveller. The assistance, care and attention I received when passing through security at Bergerac Airport was excellent. More than I have experienced at any other airport. Officers were Very polite and extremely patient!

Nice little Airport. Quick and easy getting through to departure gates. All staff were nice and friendly.

Small and therefore more efficient. Has everything you'd need. Typically surly passport droids as you'd expect

Great. Got there far too early had a couple of beers and a great chat with Charlie heading to Hitchin for Christmas with the family. Smashing fella. Happy Christmas my friend.

Great little airport. Very efficient. We soon had our suitcases and were on our way!

It's a small airport so don't expect much. One thing that stood out for me were the staff - everyone we encountered from checkin, security to passport control: All fantastic people and very helpful as our group of 10 included a wheelchair and pram.

A great experience the staff were excellent very helpfull. A sweet little airport and was put in perspective on our return to Stansted which is overcrowded and understaffed. A lesson to be learned perhapse.

Small efficient airport.
Free parking for 15 mins right opposite the terminal, ideal for drop off. Don't even need to pass the ticket machine.
