Wow! Probably one of the best meals while in France. Certainly while we were in Normandy. The beat goat cheese appetizers was not only delicious but artistic in its presentation. The parsnip soup is probably one of the best soups I have ever tried. Simple incredible. We also enjoyed the scallops and fish dishes as well as an incredible Coffee Gourmand !! If you are staying in Bayeux or the surrounding area, absolutely make a reservation. The book out every night and there is a good reason!

Last minute reservation—luckily, as this was the best meal I’ve had in France in the two weeks I’ve been here! Cauliflower soup, oysters, and pollack in orange butter with asparagus and spinach. Absolutely delicious!

A wonderful, casual, family-run restaurant with an incredible cheese plate, relaxed atmosphere, and a diverse and affordable selection of French wines. We allowed the owner to choose our wine and calvados selection and could not have been more thrilled with his choices. It was an exceptional and friendly experience.

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband. We had smoked salmon which is superb. We also had cream brûlée. We allowed the server to pair the white wine. The service and atmosphere is very pleasant.

A wonderful place to enjoy local food from Bayeux! You must make reservations in advance since it’s a small place. Pierre the owner was so friendly and accommodating to our requests. His wine selection was spot on and the meal was delicious! So good, we came back again for dinner two days later! Please stop by and experience this great place!

I wasn’t able to get dinner reservations the day of, but I got lunch the next day. Wow it was really incredible. The taste and the portion were ridiculously good. The steak was delicious.

Wonderful meal! I arrived before they were prepared to begin serving dinner, but the owner didn't hesitate to seat me and get me started with a drink. Waiter was polite and courteous, and their meal of the day was excellent. I even appreciated seeing the cook come out to the balcony and pick fresh herbs to be used on the plates.

This was such a special wonderful meal in Bayeux. Our server, the food everything was absolutely phenomenal. We also met the owner, who was equally wonderful, kind m, and helpful at his wine shop.
We will eat here again and never forget this beautiful dinner.

What a delightful dinner we had last night at Le Volet Qui Penche! The charcuterie fromage board was huge-enough for 3 diners! We both had the dourade entree, the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The shared crème brûlée was the best I ever had! Prices are very reasonable. 5 stars all around, merci!

Wonderful food, friendly and informative service. The wine list was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious - I’d say the menu lacked a little bit of choice for vegetarians but what was there was excellent. Great value for money. Would recommend the café gourmand (pictured) for dessert!

We had a fabulous dinner this evening! Oysters fresh, bright & tender w/ a crisp Chardonnay, foie gras w/ a spectacular Bourgogne Pinot Noir, delicious white fish from the nearby channel w/ mushrooms & risotto, succulent lamb w/ sweet potato & asparagus paired w/ yet another bold red from the south of France. Dessert was a savory warm chocolate cake, coffee ice cream & cream brûlée w/ a caramel & chocolate topping. A magnificent dining experience I would recommend if you have the opportunity!

Such a love place ! you can sit inside and outside, but you need to make a reservation if you prefer a table outside.
It’s a wine shop and a restaurant, the menu is bistro like and excellent. Since the place is also a wine shop the wine pairing is very good. The owners and staff are very and attentive.
I arrived a bit later and was seated inside and had the oysters and duck 🦆 and strawberries 🍓.
This place is definitely a recommendation in Bayeux.

I love this place! I have had some of my best meals in France here. I highly recommend going with the Menu du Soir. And let Pierre choose your wine for you. You won't be disappointed. The addition of the outdoor seating has been amazing. It's a great experience. If you can plan a meal there I would highly recommend it.

Great French restaurant located on the river in the town centre. It's a small place so making a reservation is recommended. They have their own wine shop so you can pick a glass of wine and you can go back later and buy a few bottles if you liked the wine.

Excellent meal, every course was perfect, clearly reflecting a chef who is passionate about his food. Service was very friendly and informative. We would highly recommend.

The only suggestion would be that the menu board was not clear about what represented a starter or a main, however the waiter was enthusiastic to describe the courses. Parfait.

We stopped by after a day in Bayeux touristing. Was late afternoon so not serving meals, but we were offered the best charcuterie ever. Combination of cheeses, meats and bread that were awesome. Service was excellent and charming and a wine recommendation that met our needs at that moment. Unfortunately we are off before we can return as they are closed Sunday and Monday. Highly recommended for the ambiance as well.

Lovely place, amazing food and wine. We were looking for something local and good, and we found it.

Four years ago, Pierre took the time to explain the menu in English and German and stayed open just for us as we arrived quite late to our rental. What a wonderful atmosphere and even more wonderful meal. This was to be our go-to whenever we're in Normandy. This year that became true. We made it a goal to stay nearby and made sure to visit this place. This time we came during the day and it was quite busy. The staff was friendly and accommodating as last time.

I can't recommend it enough.
