We finished our first motohome trip to France with a meal in this lovely restaurant. It was quite busy for a Tuesday night for the start of off season. They were extremely patient and friendly with our attempts to speak French. We had Gallettes mine was Salmon, egg, mushroom, tomatoe cheese and crem fraiche and my husband had Ham plus as above both were tasty, fresh and hot. We both had a dessert, crepe with local honey and creme brullee. plus a bottle of Rose came to €70.
Toilet was very clean, soap and paper available not something we have found everywhere.

Excellent little restaurant. They specialise in galettes and crepes, but you can get other dishes too (fish soup in particular, is very good).

Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Meal you'll struggle to finish yourself will cost you about 15€ + drinks.

Staff is friendly and atmosphere relaxed.

Above all, food is simply great. After you finish one galette I would recommend a crepe wince flavour combinations are wonderful.

Well a year ago we visited and we were very impressed with the quality of food and service - on a year and we have just been back two days in a row for lunch. Our young waitress who was there a year ago is just so smiley, friendly and hardworking and nothing is to much trouble. It is the food that is also the star with our first lunch being the Menu du Midi which is just stunning value and freshly cooked. Second visit we both had the Galette St. Jacques with a green salad and frites - quite possibly the best in France!
So if you are in Pontorson and want superb service and amazing food which is family run then visit!

Delicious Gallettes and especially dessert crêpes. The servers were cheerful and attentive despite having a packed house, I was especially impressed with her patience working with some customers who spoke very little french

Le Grillon is a hidden gem of atmosphere, ambiance, and extraordinary local food served with attention to detail and a smile. We stumbled as hungry travelers upon Le Grillon the first night in town after a long journey and were delighted by the care the host took to seat us durng a busy dinner hour. He patiently answered our questions and recommended dishes that pleased every member of our party.

We chose to sample local dishes and were wowed by Galette Forestière, Galette Chèvre-Miel Salade, and Alizée. Everything was so delicious we chose to bypass other venues on our second night in town so that we could sample additional local favorites. The famous Mont St. Michelle Côtes d'Agneau de Pré-salé 3 was everything we heard it would be, and, of course, the Entrecôte was excellent.

Heaven touched earth at dessert! We could not resist the Normande and Amandine caramel crepes specials, with two scoops of Trop Normande for the lighter palette.

Our time in La Manche came to an end, so we could not return to Le Grillon for a third night in a row, but we know we will be back to Le Grillon on our next journey to France. Can't wait!

Friendly staff in this cozy family-run establishment. Large portion sizes and excellent cuisine.

The savory crepe menu is extensive, we had the salmon version, c'est magnifique!

Had great meal here last night. Had a meal in trip advisors no1 the night before this was far better. Service great food brilliant. Had set menu 3 courses €23 good value. We went early 7pm most tables were reserved by 8pm full. They must have turned away at least 20 people. So I would say book if you can. Must add I had steak it was the best meal I had in 3 weeks.

Wonderful wholesome food. The staff are very welcoming and fulfil your every needs. We had a variety choice of the menu and we were all very happy with our food. I would highly recommend this restaurant with 5 stars.

Me and my girlfriend arrived at the place half an hour before closing time. We could nevertheless have some galette. I had the one with duck which was really tasty! The service and the interior was nice as well.

The crepes were amazing. So many choices to choose from. Also the menu was also in English and the staff was very helpful in conversing with us. Two thumbs up
