Best Western Hôtel Montgomery

Pontorson is a lovely village in Normandie with friendly people and The Best Western Montgomery is an historic jewel and asset to the charm of this place. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff and delicious breakfasts helped us to decide to extend our 1 night stay to 3 nights. The history of the hotel adds so much to the experience. Charming and quaint.

Very nice old hotel. The staircase leading up to the rooms is a sight to see. The room was big and clean. The staff was extremely nice. We’ll definitely be back.

Such a charming place to stay! It offers great history and an awesome bar area. The breakfast buffet in the a.m. was lovely and had lots of options. It is a quick drive to Mont St Michel - without having to be in that area with all of the traffic. Close walk to lots of bars and restaurants. As this is an old house, sleeping rooms are a bit tight, as are bathroom spaces, BW makes it work, but it's probably good to know that it's not spacious or easy to move around if you have accessibility issues.

Beautiful old manor - now charming hotel. The old features of the original manor with some renovations, and the genuine personal attention from the host make for a warm and cosy stay.

Great smaller hotel not far from Mont St Michel. The welcome was most excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you would expect from any excellent Best Western hotel.

Good hotel in a close proximity to Mont St. Michel. Service is amazing and English is not a problem. The building is fairly old, but rich in history (One of the guys who lived there killed one of the French kings in a battle).

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my boyfriend. It was so cozy, it felt like staying at a European grandmas house or something. The room was so clean, and the bathroom was pretty new and had bathrobes. The staff was extremely helpful and so kind, especially Gouleven. He went above and beyond, he was always willing to help; and one night we wanted to borrow a pair of glasses for our wine, and he didn’t hesitate at all. The breakfast was also super tasty, and convenient. Would definitely come back. It was also in the middle of the little town, and can easily catch bus to mt Saint Michel

Very cyclist friendly hotel. We are two cyclists who decided on the day to spend two nights in this hotel. We did not have a booking but the staff were able to find us a big comfortable, clean room. The customer service was one of the best I've experienced, everything was so simple and the staff were more than willing to help. They spoke English very well and gave us a warm welcome.

There's also a secure garage where we left our bikes and also a baggage storage after checkout when we went for a bike ride before catching the train. All in all, we would definitely come back thanks to the great hospitality the staff offered us. Thank you Hotel Montgomery, you've been great!

Great staff. Great building. One of the best hotel experiences of the last years in this price range. Would have to agree with the comment on the sheets by one user. I had the impression that the sheets were not cotton but some kind of itchy polyester. This, however, was only a minor detail.

Our stay in this hotel was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious rooms (at least the one we had), good breakfast, and excellent service from the manager and his staff. We also had the chance to park our car in a closed parking under request (and for a small fee). The location is very good to visit Mont Saint-Michel. If we return to Normandy in the future, for sure we will try to stay again in the Best Western Hotel Montgomery.

Loved our stay here, so much character in this building. The atmosphere was cozy, warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and were always there to help. Bathrooms were clean and the room was extremely well presented, bed could of had more bedding and the mattress was firm but comfortable, more pillows would have been great also but I didn’t ask for more so that is on me not them.

We loved this hotel! We found it very clean and while it has a little charm in regards to the size of the elevator and the staircase- its France! Charming is GOOD! We loved being able to rent bikes right from the hotel at the front desk and ride the 5-ish miles to Mont San Michel- and unforgettable experience!

Wonderful hotel! Lots of great history including the staircase from the 16th century. Gorgeous rooms (we had two and they were different but equally lovely) and everything was very clean. Excellent service as well. The front desk staff was very helpful in making a great dinner recommendation (a cozy crepe/galette restaurant just down the street)!

From the warmth of the greeting, to the size and cleanliness of the room. Everything was perfect. The choice at breakfast and the freshness of produce was excellent and great value at 12 Euros inc.
We would stay again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I loved the historic building, the extensive buffet breakfast, the beautiful garden and our very comfortable room. Most of all, however, we loved the kind, friendly, helpful serice from Goulven and the other staff members. I can't say enough about the outstanding service provided at Best Western Montgomery. Fabulous hotel, friendly, helpful and attentive receptionists..the hotel has a history and this is part if the experience of staying there. We loved our room, it was immaculate and beautifully decorated. 3* that could be 4*

This hotel was beautiful with old charm but modern rooms.
The staff were really helpful the bar was great and breakfast the best.
