I’ve been coming here for 30 years. The food has only gotten better but the people have always been just as lovely and good natured as ever.

Delicious pizza (and other main dishes) with fresh, homemade ingredients, nicely cooked in a spacious, beautiful flower garden, just next to the confluence of the vézere and Dordogne rivers.

They offer homemade ice cream that is the basis of their desserts which are also scrumptious.

To add to all that, their coffee is also very good and nicely served!

Highly recommended for a lovely dinner with your partner, friends or family alike.

Great experience, food delicious and service perfect.

Lovely food in a quiet corner of Limeuil. We sat under the old barn structure which was lovely and cooling this heat. The food was truly delicious ... evidently home cooked by someone with skill We will return

Hands down one of our favorites. It's in the home of the proprietare and it feels like it. The food is good. Not fancy, but real French cooking good. Prices are reasonable and the service is exceptional. She speaks some English and is helpful with the menu. Dog friendly, too!

Excellent restaurant, in a beautiful garden. Staff attentive, and understanding of my poor French. Able to order a cheese-less pizza (a staple in France when vegan options are limited) without hassle or making a scene (not always true of what happens when asking for a pizza without cheese!). And had the gazpacho which was stunning. Well priced, right location in beautiful Limiuel. Recommended.

A wonderful spot for an authentic, old fashioned, French dining experience. A bit eccentric and experimental but a real contrast to anything else in the area. I highly recommend it to anyone who remembers France as it used to be.

Les gérants sont très sympathique !! Mais parlons de la cuisine qui elle est encore plus sympathique (c'est pour vous dire!! ) on a super bien mangé de l'entrée au desserts en passant par un vin conseillé, le repas fût parfait .
Petite éloge personnel pour le fondant au châtaigne qui a su émerveillé ma femme !! Le cadre est sympa et le restaurant vraiment cosy.
Nous espérons pouvoir revenir avant la retraite des gérants.

On y retourne quand on est à proximité, terrasse agréable bien fleurie au bord du village historique de Limeuil où la Vézère se jette dans la Dordogne. Service sympathique et attentionné. De bons produits.

Das Restaurant Le Chai macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Die Weinauswahl ist vorzüglich und muss nur der Qualität des Essens weichen.
Das Menü des Hauses ist ebenso vorzüglich wie die Kindermenüs.
Eingebettet in einem kleinen feinen Garten oder im zur Dordogne offenen Weinlager hin fühlt man sich direkt wohl.
Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend.
In der Hauptsaison ist jedoch eine Reservierung zu empfehlen.

Prix très abordable, qualité au rdv, assiettes joliment présentées...et dans un cadre agréable... nous avons mangé un soir d été sous une ancienne grange avec vue sur le pont qui enjambe la Vézère et la Dordogne.
Le pain est vraiment excellent, ainsi que les vins sélectionnés par le patron !
Le service y est irréprochable.

Lieu et personnel sympa, bons plats, acceptent les chiens, terrasse ombragée.

Ne vous arrêté pas à l'aspect vétusté de l'extérieur du lieu, à l'intérieur vous découvrirez une très bonne table dans une ambiance des anciennes maisons périgourdines. Les mets servis sont de qualités et la patronne à l'écoute. Un restaurant chaleureux que je recommande.

Terrasse isolée des touristes et voitures, cuisine maison sur ingredients frais. Serveuse très sympa.
