Maison Gosselin

We didn’t eat in there but we bought lots of food and wine to take back to our boat.

The shop looks amazing from the outside and the presentation inside is also incredibly pretty.

We bought lots of red wine, French sparkling white wine ( M Gosselin’s own brand which we highly recommend), fish soup, coffee beans, cheese).

If you are interested in good red wine, you must ask the wine cellar manager to open the ‘Cave’ for you and he will recommend wine to you according to your preferences.

Staff are very friendly, especially at the wine cellar🤣. I think they knew we were going to buy quite a lot of wine from them that afternoon.

They can also deliver to your boat if you are at the St Vaast Marina.

If you are not planning to buy lots, it is still worth a visit to the shop because it is so beautiful.

An absolutely gorgeous shop. The interior design in the shop is fabulous. Lots of lovely things to buy and to look at. Will definitely return.

They have a large selection of Ardbeg a usually quite special Scotch.
And around every corner there is the next surprise

What a remarkable place. It's HUGE inside, with the best range of spices, condiments wines, Armanac etc. you are ever likely to see.

Just go in for a look around. Allow half an hour just to find all the different rooms.

Not open on Mondays or lunchtime!

Maison Gosselin is NOT a restaurant, but rather a very well stocked grocery store plus a lot more. If you are looking for all things French, then this is the place to go. If you want a meal, find a restaurant, of which there are several excellent ones nearby.

Like stepping back in time. Not cheap but the quality of products and staff attentiveness more than makes this acceptable

It's not just about shopping, it's an experience! Love this place with lots of original and typically French. Always go out of my way to come here when sailing in or out of Cherbourg, just a 30 min extra drive

I always enjoy visiting this amazing shop and cave. The range is fantastic.

As a New Yorker, it's the closest I've ever seen to Zabar's. This is an incredible store for such a small town.

A veritable aladins cave of gifts, cook ware, wines, delicatessant and food. You have to see it to believe it. Very well worth a visit.
Park along the harbour side as very little parking in the centre of the town.

Such a cute gourmet shop, definitely have to pass through here. Wonderful coffee selection- try the House blend, Bali and Panama coffee grains!

Really super store with a superb selection of gourmet deli foods & small gifts plus a Superb wine selection. Its an alladins cave....a delight to browse around. Would definately go back.

It has the most amazing range of anything you could want, from shaving soap to Champagne to fresh fruit. I could spend hours in this shop!

Well worth a visit. Excellent for wine and spirits. Other selections good but tending towards tourist gifts and nicnacs.. Landmark store though

Fantastic Aladdins cave of everything you ever need or didn't know you needed. The amount of food items was amazing.
