Incredibile winery with some amazing artwork from original artist of the labels.
The wines is another complete review... The place is just amazing how they can produce the quantity at those level of quality even in not so good vintages.

Absolutely Fabulous. Not only one of the finest winery's in France, but in the world. Simply first class. From the wine to the Château to the guide everything was flawless. Amazing history and art in a meticulously clean and pristine environment. Reservations are required and book well in advance. Truly a must for any wine enthusiast.

The tour plus wine tasting is truly a unique experience. The tour lasted about two hours and included the grounds, cellars, wine museum and label gallery. While it did feel a bit long, it was worth the visit.

The wine is fantastic. The only downside to the tasting is that you only get to try one Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine - the other two wines are from their partner vineyards nearby in Pauillac.

It’s a pity that I didn’t get entered into the château. However, I was really impressed with the wonderful yard.

Great tour. Great wine. Great Rothschild family.

2018 - the vintage of the decade for Mouton Rothschild.

● Chateau Mouton-Rothschilde 2014, Pauillac.
Tasting in the Chateau on the 17th of June, 2015.

Wine maker: Philippe Dhalluin

81% Cabernet Sauvignon
16% Merlot
3% Cabernet Franc

100% new French oak

13% alc.

Black berries and ripe cherries on the nose with a touch of green tobacco.
The palate is medium with soft ripe tannin.
At the start creme the cassis dominates with damson and mullberry in the background. After a few seconds a battle of flavours, freshness and tannin take place. It's like a chemical reaction going off, that suddenly stops, leaving a smooth finish of blackcurrants and raspberrys and white pepper.

A very good year like 2010 but with more tannin.

Drink approximately from 2022.

Bordeaux Index score: 95 - 97.

For me, the 2018 Château Mouton Rothschild is the best wine of theirs that I have ever drunk!!!

Amazing chateaux and loving the building that makes the wine, inspired by theatre. Grand interior. Absolutely worth a visit and the museum to see the evolution of the bottle labels is the highlight.

One of the most charming Chateaux of the region, Mouton-Rothschild not only give you a great lesson about Bordeaux wine making but also about art: the labels designed by the most renowned artists of the 20th and 21st century can be seen with the detailed descriptions of how they were conceived, are all available to be seen, together with the private collection of art of the owners. As for the wines, enough has been said.

We visited the museum and the premises and the place is great. A unique place in the region. The people that provided the tour were lovely and they even help me to charge my electric car.
The wine is amazing and everything around the history of the place makes it worth a visit.

My husband and I had the most amazing 3 hour private tour. Had the opportunity to tour their vineyards, technical facilities and art/ label museum. The technical facilities were renovated 6 years and feature some advanced equipment. The art museum blew me away, seeing and learning about the different labels that are produced with every vintage. Finally ended with tastings from their 3 labels. Of course, Mouton Rothschild 2012 was our favorite - silky, soft with beautiful aromas. Our tour guide, Mary, was extremely knowledgeable. We were very lucky to come during off- peak and experience the winery to almost ourselves. The only other folks there was a group of journalists with the infamous James Suckling. It’s expensive at 60 euros, but totally worth it.

The private museum here is incredible, skip the wine museum in town, and get to this one, amazing original art works from the who's who of modern art - all the originals from their label art. Plus artifacts from the history of drinking culture from as far back as 1st century BC.

Tasting the Mouton was truly an experience. Far and away the best glass of wine I have ever had. Seeing the wine library from behind the gate that goes back to the 19th century was also very cool. Highly recommend a visit.

Visited this chateau with other wine professionals. I don't need to say anything about the quality of the wines, as expected top-level. These five stars have nothing to do with the wines as they deserve five stars alone, but are all going towards the knowledgeable guides, their positive friendly attitude, top-quality wine cellar and the fact that you get to see so much of the vineyard. To professionals and non-professionals alike, book in advance!
Thanks for the great experience.
