We ate twice here whilst on holiday. The whole team running the restaurant and pop up bar were lovely and welcoming. We were lucky enough to also enjoy the fireworks display off the bridge which was amazing. Food was well prepared and tasty...nice gastro-pub food. We sampled the on-site brewed beers which were excellent. The location is stunning and we were blessed by 2 amazing sunsets. Can only imagine what a lovely place to stay. We also used the pop up bar in the garden when we swam in the river. Would absolutely recommend and visit again.

Beautiful Restaurant with terrace overlooking the river.
The menu is different than the standard fayre for the region. A refreshing change to the usual options offered at every restaurant in the local area.
The chef created special dishes for me because I'm allergic to lactose, gluten, garlic and I don't eat meat. Absolutely top class meals served with a smile.
Very convivial hosts and dog friendly. Parking available to the rear of the restaurant.
And they brew their own beer, what more can you ask for.
Special greetings to Ben, the golden retriever, for his greeting on arrival x

We visited on a Thursday evening, having made a reservation a little earlier in the day online. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that our booking hadn't been responded to, so it didn't stand. We accepted this fact and asked for recommendations for other local premises. The one that was going to be recommended was closed for holiday, unfortunately. The chap at BdP took pity on us and managed to find us a table after a little wait. We were certainly not disappointed in the least. The service and food were all excellent. The outlook from the terrace is lovely. Do book ahead in the high season as it obviously gets very busy. We can't recommend this place highly enough. Thanks for the hospitality!

Fantastic spot with stunning views of the river. We visited for a quick drink last week and enjoyed some nibbles too. The terrace is lovely and covered, the interior spacious and light with tall ceilings.

We came back later in the week for 'one drink' because we'd enjoyed it so much and ended up staying for a carafe, more nibbles and even bought a takeaway wine at the end. The folks running the place are incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly - for example on our second visit we were told the restaurant was full, but the owner personally sorted us out with some small snacks despite the restaurant being full.

They were also very patient and talked us through the different beers brewed in the micro-brewery and wines available with enthusiasm!

I understand the place is fairly new c. 1-2y old, so would definitely recommend paying a visit either for food, drinks or both!

Thank you for your hospitality - we really enjoyed it :)

Staying in the area so we visited for dinner, I can't comment on the accommodation but the bar/restaurant is lovely with great views of the river from the large terrace. The owners and all the staff were so friendly but first prize goes to Ben the golden retriever, such a sweetheart, I wasn't sure we would get my daughter out of there without him!

Agree with last review , No road sign for Parking. However once we had arrived a very warm
welcome, attentive service and delicious lunch . The view to the river and bridge is so relaxing .
We had planned this outing several months ago , was not disappointed , worth waiting for and looking forward to a return visit. Our dog enjoyed the welcome croquette ! Thank you .

I’ve been wanting to try Brasseurs Du Pont since it opened and it was well worth the wait! We had a fabulous 2 nights, tried the beer, ate in the restaurant, swam in the river (loved the new beach bar) and visited a local chateau. Thanks for the very warm welcome and kindness throughout our stay, we’d love to come back.

Had the most amazing 2 day stay on our trip through Spain & France in April.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome from the hosts Chris & James, what a superb location, excellent food and drink, spotlessly clean rooms & bedding and a gorgeous family dog called Ben ❤

Firstly the location is breathtakingly beautiful, it was our first time in this area (as per a few of our fellow guests who had watched the transformation on A New Life in the Sun) and decided to visit and we were not disappointed.

Sipping a drink on the terrace overlooking the river whilst the sun was shining was so relaxing and calming.

The locals have also embraced Chris, James & Ben and you can evidently see genuine fondness that the old dilapidated building has been brought back to life by them.

We visited over the weekend, had breakfast (hearty) light lunch and evening meals, the food was excellent as was the beer brewed by James who is also the chef, Chris is front of house and together they make excellent hosts.

They have regular French customers along with the visiting tourists so there's a real friendly buzz about the place, they also have regular French customers for Sunday lunch....need I say more!!

We highly recommend a visit, well done Chris & James your hard work and dedication has definitely paid off, we look forward to returning next year on our trip home to the UK.

Thanks for a fantastic stay ❤

Turned up too late to eat but the table next to us who were finishing up seemed very satisfied. Can certainly vouch for the beers and the location is perfect for anyone stopping mid-kayak down Dordogne.

Really good beer! Congrats! Following the recommendations of Martin Walker alias Bruno, we had a good stop at this brasserie with excellent beers. Lovely place to stay for a moment. They are very kind to push bikers!

Popped in for Sunday lunch with a couple of friends and we were very warmly welcomed.

The venue is beautiful and both James and Chris (owners) are super gracious as hosts.

I chose the toast beef which was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by roast potatoes, perfectly cooked veg and a gorgeous Yorkshire pudding all arrived piping hot. Perfect amount of gravy and a very generous bowl of cauliflower cheese for the table to share. All perfect!
For pudding, I had the home made apple crumble with warm vanilla ice cream, utterly delicious and Chris shared with me that it’s his mother’s recipe. Clearly a lady who knows how to create the best traditional desert for Sunday lunch.

I cannot recommend highly enough if you’re looking for a perfect venu, wonderful hosts and excellent Sunday roast for lunch. Five stars all the way.

We ate here (hotel too) and the food was fantastic. The place has been done up very well and the owners must have a great eye for detail. I had the pate to start, salmon and salad and then cheesecake. The cheese cake was probably the best I’ve had. Good luck to everyone here and thank you for a fantastic lunch.
