Camping La Baie Des Veys

We went camping there for a couple of days. It was a really nice stay. Toilets and showers are always clean. Staff is nice and helpful. There are many small and nice villages around and the D-Day history can be experienced in many places nearby. Definitely a recommendation and a must stay during our next trip to Normandy!

This campsite is truly charming. It offers wonderful, well-balanced pitches where everyone, from truck campers to caravans and motorhomes, can find a perfectly level spot. It is ideally located for exploring the various attractions around Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, as well as the entire range of World War II sites.

We were warmly welcomed, and communication in English was absolutely no problem for us at all.

In summary, I can recommend this campsite to people who especially want to visit the sights around Utah and Omaha Beach, as well as other places relevant to D-Day.

Great camp site near Utah Beach. The facilities are clean - sparkling clean! The hosts are lovely and kind. The camp ground is well maintained with lots of beautiful plants.

We only stayed for one night, but I wish we had stayed longer because it was really nice.

We stayed with a tent. There is lots of room on a pitch and electric is available. The pitches are flat and take a peg easily. Washing facilities are always clean and always have hot water available. There is an onsite cafe/restaurant/bar which is very friendly with a good choice of food. There is an outdoor heated pool, great for that rfreshing dip. All in all the campsite is a tranquil place tucked away in a corner of Normandy ideal for family holidays exploring the historic sights and beaches. We will certainly be back.

Beautifully located at the beach side / canal banks. Close to a natural seal spot. Perfect place for visiting the D-Day musea, Arromanche, beaches like Utah beach and Omaha beach, small towns, etc.

Very peaceful special little site run by lovely people. Super size pitches and spotless showers and toilets. Great flat area for cycling and we cycled to utah beach in 20 minutes (each way). Lovely heated pool. Walked down the tranquil marais to see the seals and it was magical to see their little faces swimming curiously towards me. High tide is the time to see them. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very well maintained Campsite. Clean bathrooms and awesome Baguettes, breads and Croissants for breakfast. The owners are very nice.
Bring your own soap and toilet paper!

Très Bon! I had a very pleasant stay in the cottage horizon! Two lovely hosts Sébastien & Sébastien. Nice, quite area. Clean camping.

Quiet, beautiful surroundings. This camping is for people that love nature and solitude. It is also very close to both of the American D-Day beaches, a very lovely nature park with plenty of seals around the corner.

Great seaview from the campsite and wonderfull walking trails at the sea.....
The campsite is clean, kidfriendly and has enough to offer (bread service, meals, Washing machine, pool etc).

What a lovely site. Welcomed to the site by Sebastian who couldn't do more for you. Spotlessly clean and the restaurant had a family atmosphere with good food and wine very reasonable priced. Yes we will return

Emplacement en tente sans électricité bien arboré. Sanitaires impeccables. Endroit très calme. Agréablement surprise par le restaurant du camping où les produits servis sont frais et un prix normal pour un restau. Accueil chaleureux de la part du personnel.

Zelden hebben we zo’n nette en schone camping meegemaakt. Het sanitair wordt meerdere malen per dag schoongemaakt, niet alleen het toilet, maar ook de muren, deuren etc.
Ook voor het chemisch toilet een schoon toilethokje.
De camping is gemoedelijk, heeft een verwarmd zwembad, prima voor jonge kinderen.
Het restaurant is prima, de mosselavonden zijn echt aan te raden.
Het strand van Utah beach is een half uur fietsen of nog geen 10 min met de auto.
Tegenover de camping zijn regelmatig zeehondjes te zien.

Camping digne d’une carte postale. Rarement vu un camping de cette catégorie et à ce prix aussi bien tenu !
L’amabilité des patrons, la propreté irréprochable, les parcelles grandes et bien entretenues aussi. Notre toutou accepté. L’amabilité des autres campeurs, à l’image du savoir-vivre des patrons, le calme, la proximité de la plage et le paysage … j’arrête la car juste de passage en Camping-car pour la proximité de Utah beach … nous n’avons pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine, du terrain de pétanque et du restaurant sur place.
Donc nous reviendrons avec hâte pour profiter plus longtemps et vraiment cette fois de cette belle découverte !

So einen sauberen, gepflegten Campingplatz sieht man selten. Die sanitären Anlagen werden mehrmals täglich gereinigt, die Stellplätze sind schön groß und abgetrennt durch Hecken.
Die Besitzer sind supernett und hilfsbereit, sie sind rund um die Uhr für ihre Gäste da. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut, Brötchenservice am Morgen ist auch toll. Als die Waschmaschine mit Chip nicht funktionierte, hat Sebastian unsere Wäsche in seiner privaten Waschmaschine gewaschen und uns sogar gebracht. Wo findet man heutzutage noch so eine Gastfreundlichkeit?
Wir können den Platz auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt empfehlen.

Für mehr als eine Woche standen wir mit Wohnwagen und unseren Kindern auf diesem kleinen Platz direkt am Marschland. Die Stellplätze sind sehr unterschiedlich geschnitten während unserer sehr lang aber schmal war (Wohnwagen mit Vorzelt passte für uns genau in der Breite, aber der Nachbar musste umziehen, da es nicht passte) gibt es auch kleinere dafür breitete Plätze.

Der Spielplatz ist klein, aber da viel Sand vorhanden ist ausreichend. Das Schwimmbad war sowieso beliebter und da beheizt auch bei schlechterem Wetter besuchbar.
Die Sanitäranlagen waren die saubersten von allen Campingplätzen, die wir die letzten Jahre besucht haben. Den ganzen Tag wurde immer wieder kontrolliert. Einziger Nachteil war, dass es Recht zugig ist und die Dusche daher nicht so komfortabel, wie anderswo, aber aus ökologischer Perspektive ist kürzeres duschen eh gewünschter.

Wenn man den Platz verlässt steht man direkt am Marschland. Es gibt leider keine schönen Wander- oder Radwege direkt anschließend, aber die Umgebung bietet genügend zum Unternehmen.

Der Brotservice ist komfortabel eingerichtet. Nur dass man unter 10€ nicht mit Karte bezahlen kann und jedes Mal bezahlen soll ist unpraktisch.

Die Atmosphäre war während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr entspannt. Viele die auch länger als eine Woche blieben, so dass man eine kleine Gemeinschaft hatte (mit den Niederländern).

Einziger Kritikpunkt: so gut die Regelung für den Spielplatz ist (9-21 Uhr geöffnet) funktioniert sie nicht, wenn regelmäßig erst viel später aufgeschlossen wird (zwischen 9:30 - 10). Das ist mit Kindern nicht optimal.

Nous avons passé un week-end très agréable. Camping super très propres et les 2 Sébastien super sympa trouve toujours une solution à un problème exemple la soirée moules frites😁 de samedi. Encore merci à vous. Grâce à nos amis qui nous ont fait connaître se Camping sinon on aurait passé à côté de quelque chose de bien. A refaire.
