A very doable hike with a great view on the surroundings. Well kept stairs to climb. Can be very windy on top. Whilst descending, you have great changing views on the Puy de Dôme. Just before the Puy de Dôme train station, cross the railway moving away from the parking to start your 1 hour something (one way) hike.

It is a great place to visit. Take a while to go up there. Take some break and enjoy the shadows and nature along the way.
You need go shoes and some drinking water and walking stick_it helps abit.
The view on top worths every efforts of climbing there.
Go early or grab some picnic with you if you are start around 10 am. And lunch in the middle of the UNESCO historical volcano. It would be great if you booked the restaurant before. We got some hard time to find restaurant at 1330. Most restaurants close around 1400.

Pretty quick hike, around 5 km with 200m of elevation. Really beautiful view with the possibility to go to the Puy de Dôme too.

Nice easy walk up to this minor Puy from the car park at Col de Goule. Stunning 360 views of the Puy De Dôme, Clermont-Ferrand and the sourounding Puys when you get to the top after about 40 minutes. Shaded walk as most of it is through ancient beechwood Forest with wild raspberries growing along the paths.
