If you want to see the best sunset, silhouetted by La Cité this is the place. The owners are super friendly, it’s nothing fancy but an awesome spot for a wine, cocktail or a beer.

A real gem! Our BnB host recommended we try this place for some pizza. Simple quick service. Pay and take a ticket, take your drinks, go order your pizza from the proper big wood fired oven. Collect when buzzer goes off. Very reasonably priced with stunning views over the castle and nice relaxed music. Our pizzas were absolutely delicious as was the house wine. If you are looking for an experience go! If you are looking white linen table service ... Not for you. We will always remember this wonderful spot

This was just behind our hotel at Mercure La Cité, an easy 5-10 min walk from the Cité itself. We wanted a drink and bite to eat on our last night. What a lovely place, friendly owner chatted to us in our broken French and in English. Nice cat. Spent our last night outdoors with a prime view of the whole cité lit up and a beautiful wood fired pizza. A hidden gem

Best place in town. Homey, cheap, good food, friendly owner, everything! And a superb view!
And a wonderful surprise to find that if they don’t make pizza, they have guest fish and chips.

Beautiful little find in Carcassonne! A simple, friendly bar with a spectacular view of the Medieval City. We had a lovely bottle of wine watching the sunset.

On Thursdays and Sundays a Chip Van pulls up for food, we were lucky to be here when this happened and we can say the fish and chips is delicious!!! The bar also has a pizza restaurant for when the chip van is not your thing or not there.

All great. We ordered a variety off the menu and all very good. Only thing that was disappointing is the stinky smoker a couple of tables over.

Fantastic vibes away slightly off the beaten track if you’re staying in Carcassone proper, but well worth the detour. Lovely owners, a visiting chef, board games and a cat! Recommend to all visiting Carcassone, can only imagine how great the terrace is in the summer - an immaculate view.

Really special place. Funky with a fantastic view. It’s more a cocktail bar with pizzas on the side. The view at night is unparalleled. The owners know how to make a great vibe. Plus you don’t have to be under 50 to enjoy this place.

Fantastic views, friendly service, great atmosphere. Very understated. We had a beautiful local red wine, sulphate free. A little quirky and very authentic.

This place has a unique view and I spent a great time there. I also promised my date I would give it 5 stars. However: avoid mozzarella based pizzas, that's just cheese in a tube. Drinks are small and pricy and there is no service at all.

A wonderful spot. Just outside Carcassonne, with a great view of la Cité. Great food, reasonable prices, very friendly service. An absolute gem. Worth the short walk and then some.

If you don’t mind pizza, then do this place for sure. Excellent patio with stellar views of the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed happy hour and pizza dinner. A short walk gets you away from the tourist hassle. The pizza is very good.

Beautiful little bar that does great pizzas (also available to takeaway) and gorgeous looking kebabs done on a BBQ. A bit out of the way so not too much of a tourist trap and seemed to be a favourite of the locals, which is always a good sign. Cracking views across to the medieval Cite and reasonably priced.

Really lovely place. We had a great chat with the owner, they have fantastic beers, live music, a house cat and daily changing food trucks. Plus a great view of the castle. Couldn't ask for more

We visited la melairie on a Friday night and enjoyed fresh mussels, shrimp and oysters as well as drinks, a bruschetta type dish and dessert. All the food was good and for 34 euros we felt it was a good value. The staff were very nice and the view of the medival cite was superb.
