Great food. Good menu to select from. Great service. Located right across from the canal and port. Easy parking, easy-to-find. Very nice ambiance overall, clientel included. We stayed in the gite above which was lovely, as well.

Everything here was more than superb, from the very friendly, helpful, staff/owners, (who all spoke perfect English) to the wonderful service, ambience and the vast variety of excellent food and wine available.

Called in second day running as we enjoyed the food and the ambience so much the lady who served us was amazing and extremely helpful making sure we knew the food we were ordering and she had a great sence of humour

Went last nite with friends... usual friendly welcome from owner and staff... perfect table (it was very hot today) food and wine as per usual excellent... Jean-Pierre the Chef/owner certainly knows how to cook his fish... how on earth Florence and her staff were able to stay cool and friendly in that heat... I will never know... highly recommended for locals and tourists alike ... BUT... you must reserve a table... this is a very popular restaurant

As a non speaking person they were really polite and translated the menu for me. The food was really nice and tastefull. They did there best and we tasted that. And the price was good to.

This is definitely the best restaurant in Briare. The staff are welcoming and all speak English. Last Saturday I had had a very trying journey to Briare on my boat; I phoned them to reserve a table for myself, if possible, and Florence la patronne said she could squeeze me in somewhere, for which I was very grateful. The meal was all one could wish, pate de foie gras, an entrecote steak, cheese and a poached pear. The chef, Jean-Paul, always produces excellent food. The pichet of Brouilly I drank was delicious! It is recommended that you book earlier than I did...they are often full, which means that simply walking in may not work!!
