We just took a coffee in this beautiful and peaceful place located in the Grenoble old town. It was a great experience in this full of history location. Grenoble is a must be visited town.

Despite the restaurant's busyness, we managed to secure a table quite promptly, even without a reservation. The service was attentive and helpful, making the dining experience enjoyable. I can't speak highly enough about the food. The quality of each dish was truly exceptional. We followed recommendations and tried both the dish of the day, lamb, and their regular offering, callette. Both were truly outstanding. We also indulged in the charcuterie board, salmon tartare, and foie gras. While all were delicious, the foie gras and the terrines on the charcuterie board were particularly outstanding. For those seeking authentic cuisine from this region, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.

I was looking for an open cuisine after 22. Everything being closed only doner Kebap shops I was already thinking to find an open supermarket. Then I end up seeing this place open with very very French atmosphere, wonderful food and an amazing story since 1739. The Swedish king met his wife here like LoL you shouldn’t pass Grenoble without being here 😋

Great food and a great service. Try the Onion Soup. The best I have ever tasted. The restaurant is the oldest in Grenoble. Was established in 1739 and situated across from the theater.

We very much enjoyed this delicious fresh fish based dish, containing coddfish, salmon, mussels, prawns and various seashells... just for €17. Friendly service and good advice. Strongly recommended! 😋

Very good food for low price. Big tasty portions. Oysters were very fresh, dessert vacherin with chartreuse was really excellent! Piece du Boucher was a good 'bavette' with gratin. Good choice of Belgium beers. The pelfort ipa was not a good choice.

Delicious food, very friendly waiters (Kamal, you're the best!), pleasant atmosphere and even surprisingly nice encounters at the neighboring tables!

We had a lovely experience complete with Moule Frites (vercors bleu), escargot, and frog legs braised in a garlic butter. The meal was accompanied by a crisp white wine and fair service. Recommended

Historical restaurant that is maintaining a high quality standards since 1739. The raviolis are tasty and the meats are fresh and quite savoury. Good wine list. The service is attentive and very rapid despite the crowds that constantly fill up all the tables. Prices are moderate.

Excellent - beautifully cooked French food at reasonable prices, in an historic restaurant (280 years old!). We had fresh green salads to start, followed by salmon steak with ratatouille and rice for me, and a traditional Dicot (pork sausage) with potatoes Dauphinois for my wife. Great quality that was matched by the desserts: Tarte tatin and walnut tart. Enjoyed the "Paradise Dream" cocktail and the hot chocolate too. Plenty of choice on the menu, highly recommended.
