Jeu de Quilles

What a great (and tasty) experience. Helpful, polite and quick waitstaff. Interesting and well executed food. Super fun window in the back framing the kitchen.

This is clearly the restaurant of someone who loves food. My wife and I stopped here on our way through town and had a duck breast special. I have eaten at many fine restaurants in France (and many other countries for that matter) and this is one of the better casual establishments I have had the luck of finding. I would put this lunch up against almost anything I’ve had for quality, flavor and presentation. The price was fair and not at all excessive. Thank you for everything Jeu de Quilles, we will be back!

Oh, and I read the negative reviews here- needless to say I’m baffled. France needs more restaurant like this one.

If you don’t love it, you don’t get it. Fat, salt, heat, sweet, green things, meaty things, finned and feathered things. It doesn’t matter what’s on the menu…it all comes out of the kitchen smelling deliciously and reflecting beautifully the passion of the chef and the dedication of the staff. Not forgetting the wine list; which is always modern, exciting and mostly natural. Outside is lovely in fine weather but don’t be disappointed with an inside table. Same magic, different wand. Still worth an annual pilgrimage (or more) from far corners of France after all these years.

What a surprise. Cajarc is quite a busy town and reservations may be preferred (although we walked in). Nice daily menu and decent wine list. Patio out front by the street. Our server was excellent (but spotty service from the other).

Great little place, delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. A choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts all carefully concocted by the chef. Local ingredients cooked in an original way. Excellent wine selection. Recommend an outdoor in the summer, best to book.

Really good bistro cooking and attentive service. A particularly nice place for a winter's lunch.

Just had a most delightful evening meal at Jue De Quilles. Was dining alone but was soon warmly embraced with local residents and the sou chef Patricia. Lovely simple (good) fresh food for the soul at a very reasonable price. If I didn't have to drive home, I would have been there all night. Been requested to go again tomorrow night, how can I refuse :)

We stopped here on our way through and had the most delicious lunch. Stunning food exquisitely presented and thoroughly recommend.

Une cuisine de tres grande qualité avec des produits frais et un accueil très chaleureux.

Quels mets délicieux ,fins, colorés,gourmets... le tout arrosé de vin nature ! Tellement rare pour une somme très raisonnable. Service irréprochable: jeune femme souriante,disponible, compétente. Une excellente soirée...pensez à réserver, la réputation n'est plus à faire 😉

Un instant de détente et de découverte
Un menu excellent cuisiné avec talent. Une sommelière de bons conseils et un service à la hauteur.
Je sais où m’arrêter la prochaine fois que nous sommes dans cette belle région.

Arrivés en fin de service, nous avons été acceptés.
Entrée au saumon pleine de goût , andouillette sauce à la moutarde légère (appréciable en plein été) et soupe de pêche à la verveine, excellente.

Nous avons fait quelques kilomètres le soir sur les petites routes pour allez chercher ce restaurant, pas déçu du voyage !
Excellent, très bon rapport qualité prix.
Le poisson proposé était du Saint Pierre, 3 beau morceaux, C’est tellement mieux que l’éternel cabillaud ou la dorade …
Petite critique le cocktail maison un peu spéciale … vin pétillant et limoncello …
Tout le reste était parfait 👍
