The ambiance is nice and modern and inviting.
The food was simply exceptional.
Very flavorful food, every dish was superb quality.

A true Michelin star experience, in the heart of an iconic town in the Provence. We enjoyed a 5 course lunch here, which was simply exquisite. But as a star restaurant required, service and presentation were extraordinary too. This was the highlight of our Provence trip this year, and we’d recommend it to anyone heading south this summer.
Nb: it can get hot in summer. We started outside, but ended up inside. That was excellent, though, as the interior has been beautifully finished with designer furniture and lamps, as well as a large, original, James Ensor-style 2020 wall-to-wall painting. We took our coffees on the terrace, of which you can see a photo.
Nb: we went here with our little kids. They were warmly welcomed, including high chair, though there is no baby changing place. It didn’t do anything to diminish our experience though.

Five star experience through and through.

Every dish was a delight. The chefs treated us to several off-the-menu items as well, each more delicious than the last. Our favorite dishes were the beet roots (dressed with a kind of yuzu vinaigrette) and truffle pasta. Each dish was served with a rotation of fresh bread, including one threaded with black truffle, and excellent service. Dessert was out of this world good, and once again the chef treated us to off-the-menu dishes. The sorbet-spritz and whisky ice cream — knockouts.

Ansel was our server and, on top of his wonderful service, he called us a cab back to Avignon late at night. Our French isn’t good enough to manage over the phone. Without him we would’ve needed to stay overnight in the city. An absolute god send. Thank you Ansel and La Mere Germain team!

passing by this well named wine village we stayed a night in the freshly renovated but 100 years old Hotel/ Restaurant La Mère Germaine.
Welcomed and hosted by all elegant and amazingly friendly staff no question or wish was left unattended.
The design of the rooms and the common areas is modern but harmonic with the history and the atmosphere of the house. The high quality and well thought details are what let me enjoy the place the most.
Breakfast was served to our table (what is in my opinion the only acceptable way a breakfast should be offered) at the terrace with the view on the streets and square of this little village. The food had a excellent quality and the whole family enjoyed.

This might become a regular stop on our way from south to north.

Absolutely delightful. We revisited the restaurant after a year, this time with the new Chef in charge, and what a joy! It was amazing last year, and now it got even better. You find yourself picking "olives" from a real olive tree at your table - and that was only the amuse bouche! Truly extraordinary experience. Delicious food, beautiful views and decor, friendly and professional and amusing staff that put you in a very relaxed and comfortable yet still "feeling-special" mood from the moment you enter the restaurant. We had lunch there, and was offered a “simple” 3 course menu. Each one of the 3 dishes deserved one-Michelin-star or better. The crème brûlée was the best I ever have tasted. Great restaurant !

gastronomic restaurant with excellent food and wine options, beautiful views and professional and friendly service. Excellent food for our lunch menu: superb associations of flavors and use of local products. As always culinary excellency with Christophe Hardisquet. They made also some adaptations for us because of lactose intolerance. We will come back ! Only small thing I would suggest the restaurant is to have a nice vegan cappuccino option.

I was there for double cake and cafe' after long bicycle ride and hard pushing uphill. Coffee and cake we're very tasty, Le Patron very friendly.

Very friendly service! We arrived in the area early in the evening without having any plan at all because we cut our seaside vacation short. We went to the center of town without any expectations. This restaurant was busy when the whole town seemed dark so we asked if they have a place for us and happily they did! This is a gastronomic place with 1 Michelin Star ( we didn’t know because our internet was not working) that requires reservations in advance so I’m very grateful that they accommodated us. The food was amazing. The execution of the plates were amazing ! Best main dish ever in a gastronomic place. It was very creative. I like the concept. The wines were amazing. The service was great ( they recommended a few places in the region to visit which turned out to be spot on) ! The somelier was amazing. In fact we went to the Domaine of the wine he recommended the next day to buy a few cartons of it. I’m very very happy. We were very underdressed because the other clients were nicely dressed but that made the experience better because they were cool and friendly even if we looked like how we did (Being friendly tops everything! I hate pretentious places) It was clearly a dress up (silver sandals and beautiful dresses) place but they were so extremely nice and accommodating to weary travelers in converse and t-shirts even when the restaurant was full! ( warning: we checked the menu at the door before going in to ask for a place 😇 so we kind of know what we were getting into price-wise). Our short stay in Provence became a great experience because we went to this restaurant. Thanks!
