Pont Vieux

I really enjoyed the place. The view is so exciting, the weather was very good and also the people are so kind.
If you want to visit a good place in France, this is one of them, an historical city with nice places and good food.

This 151m long medieval bridge crossing the Tarn river in the city of Albi was originally named Pont du Tarn. It was built between 1035 and 1042.
However, the oldest parts you see today date back to the 13th century. It was very interesting to know that the bridge contributed to the urban and commercial development of the city. And the money that was collected (toll) was used for the maintenance of the bridge and also the city walls.

Stunning location Bridge is currently being repaired so access is limited but still worth visiting.

Good place and nice view point to visit in Albi

The oldest bridge crossing the Tarn in Albi, offering gorgeous views of the river, the cathedral and the old town.

Probably the most photographed scene in Albi. The old bridge has an interesting history. Good place to watch the huge catfish from when they are hunting pigeons! Also, great views.
Just watch for dog poo that owners don't pick up hence 1 star knocked off.

A great view from here of the town. Also a great vantage point for the Bastille Day fireworks! You can get a boat trip along the Tarn which goes underneath the Pont Vieux - gives you totally different views - I definitely recommend. (not just of the bridge but Albi too)

Considering that the bridge was constructed in 1040 it is in amazing condition.

One of the most beautiful bridges in the world! Must see! If you can, book a hotel room overlooking the view. Magical experience!
