I've been cycling seriously for 30 years and so have seen many, many specialist bike shops. About once every decade I discover an outstanding bike shop that stands out head and shoulders above all the others, and this is definitely one of them. The staff are really experienced, really helpful and will ensure that they fix whatever problem you have, and source whatever component you want. The vibe around the shop is great and many of the customers ride regularly with the staff. I regularly recommend Strada to other cyclists - both those that are seriously into cycling and those that just need a good local bike shop. They're not the cheapest, but I don't want the cheapest, I want the best.

I am relatively new to cycling and need a bike shop I can trust. I got my most recent bicycle from Strada which was built by Mike and I am absolutely delighted with it. I have also ridden with Strada staff and on the Strada breakfast rides and gained valuable cycling experience. At the shop I found the whole team friendly, down-to-earth and knowledgeable. In summary Strada cycles are a great local business with amazing stock of bikes and everything else bike related you could possibly want.

Went in for a minor part and some questions. I was dreading it as I had done the same with other bike shops in Bristol and was met by disinterested staff who just wanted me to buy a new bike. That was not the case here, the staff were great, they patiently answered my questions, made some suggestions that wouldn't cost the earth, and didn't only offer me the most expensive solution in the shop.

This is how businesses earn a good reputation as a place that can be trusted.

Good work, Strada!

Great service and will be returning for all my bike needs in the future. Dropped my bike off on the Friday for a long overdue service and received a text the next day saying my bike was ready. Great. On picking it up I was told a detailed overview of the work that had been carried out on my bike and all the things that I should keep an eye on as they may need replacing in the future. All in all, the perfect service and done with a friendly smile. Will be recommending to all my bike-owning friends.

Olly the Strada mechanic is expert and painstaking. I've got two rather unusual and high spec bicycles. There's nobody I'd rather trust with my bikes. Strada is an up to date bike shop with the best of old fashioned values.

I have bought my last few bikes from Strada, as has my husband, so we have had a lot of experience of service there. Staff are always friendly, helpful and professional- all of the staff are experienced riders, they have experience of racing and in all bike disciplines.

There are a great range of bikes, including lovely Enigma. As well as bling though there are sensible bikes for commuters and casual riders.

I had a bike fit for my road bike with Ian, which I would really recommend if you are going to spend a bit more on your bike. I had my seatpost wildly at the wrong height and other bits also needed adjusting. I get no back ache at all now riding and a lot more power per pedal, so it was well worth it. They took a really long time and a lot of care getting it just right, and I prefer the system with looking at your biomechanics and flexibility etc to other forms of fit.

All in all I would be really happy to recommend to anyone!

This is the best cycle shop that I've dealt with in 35 years.
Friendly, efficient and supportive at all times.
From 50 year old Raleighs with original owner to state of the art races - everyone is welcomed.
Most importantly they keep my bike on the road with the minimum fuss - none of the "well it's about time you bought a new bike" nonsense.
It's a pleasure to do business with them.

Strada Cycles were brilliant in helping sort out a bike for my wife. They were super efficient in sourcing the bike and then adding mudguards and rack. She now has a great bike for cycling to work on and is really happy. Thank you!

Great local bike shop. I haven't splashed out on many items here (a pair of SPD-SL pedals), but have used their in-house mechanic a few times now. They've serviced my bike in the past and have also replaced bits and pieces. Last job was replacing my front and rear mechs after I'd put a few thousand miles into them.

Booked the job in for a Tuesday. They ordered the parts in advance, carried out all the work that day and I had it back in the evening. Bike rides well and it's clear they know what they're doing. I certainly trust them with my decent(ish) carbon road bike. The service isn't cheap but, as I get a bit older, I've come to realise that it's worth paying a little extra for a decent job rather than skimping and having to have something done twice. Would recommend. In fact, I might nip there now to buy some gloves.

I had the misfortune to have my bike stolen and went to Strada Bedminster to view their stock. I found a bike that I liked; and after the deal was agreed picked it up the following day after all the accessories were fitted.
This was on the Friday, and I rode the new bike over the weekend.
On the Monday I returned to the shop with a couple of issues that were put right straight away, I said to Ian the salesman that had I had my time again I would of bought a different model, as I had not been getting on at all well with the new style brake lever gear change, along with not having front shocks. (I had shocks on my stolen bike)
Much to my surprise Ian rang me during that afternoon and said he had spoken to the manager and sourced the same priced bike as the one I had just bought with shocks and standard gear selectors, and to just continue riding the first bike until they ordered the new one if I was happy to do that.
I rode the first bike until the Wednesday, then picked up the new one when Ian had organised all the like for like accessories to be fitted. "AMAZING"
I must confess I have found the Marks and Spencer/John Lewis customer service of bike shops.
Thank You very much Ian (Salesman) and Mike (The Manager)

Much like some previous reviews, I was impressed. I went in looking for some advice and mtb tyres. In other shops such as Evans on a Saturday, it is easy to wait for a few minutes for help and then just walk out. In Strada, the man behind the counter was really helpful and sold me 2 tyres at a very good price and I walked out feeling really welcomed.

I have been to other shops and they are a mixed bag. I have only been to Strada once, but lets just say that I will be going again.

Worth every penny!

Thank you strada for making my lappiere bike feel like brand new!

I had a previous bad experience that was described to me as the biggest bodge they had ever seen in 20 years)

The experienced team at strada was able to diagnose the catalogue of issues and meticulously corrected them for me. I really feel like they went the extra mile to make sure the bike ride like a dream for me.

There was a slight delay on getting my forks back (which was out of stradas control) but even so they kindly chucked in some free break pads for me and I could tell they were genuinely bummed things had taken a little longer than planned.

Probably like many people reading here are umming and arring myself included at considering who to use and whether to give the job a shot at themselves.

All I can say is that I'm glad I decided to trust them and will certainly be going back for all my biking needs.

Thanks Strada, my first ride back out was flawless from start to finish!

If you are reading this is because you are unsure about where to go to get your bike to be looked after. I was doing exactly that not long ago

Note: If you don’t want to read the whole thing, heres is headline: 10 out-of 10, Brilliant.

I causally went in one day walking down North Street, just to gossip around and have a look to the stock, no fluff around all the boutique is good stuff ;) I was surprise because of that so I asked about services, I liked their approach and I decided to give it a go.

I booked in my bike and #professional is the only word you can use to describe the service received. They ticked all the boxes I went with and there where a lot of them (OCD situation here) plus wisely advised on other items I wasn’t aware of.

In my case I’ve got a fairly expensive road set-up so I wanted to make sure I was on good hands, having said that, the value for money I received, I’ll be takin my not that expensive commuter and mountain bikes to them too, for me is a no brainier, they are gonna do better and quicker than me, my bikes are gonna last longer and most importantly for me them are gonna run better, there’s nothing worst than ruin a day off because a squeaky bb or mischievous derailleur.

I’m Spanish so forgive me if there is a bit more emotion than permitted here ;D
Disclaimer: I don’t know the guys, this is literally the 2nd time I’ve been in the shop. They are good guys, that I’m sure.

An independent bike shop with style and flair. I've enjoyed drooling inside and out, resulting in purchases of all sizes and sorts.

First class advice, yarns, and suggestions on enjoying all aspects of this sport. They even ride every Saturday morn if you want a social scene too.

Just popped into the store today with a broken seat clamp bolt. The gentleman inside was super helpful and gave us a new bolt within minutes. All this at absolutely no cost! Would definitely recommend, many thanks Strada.

Bike shops can often be a bit snooty about people who don't think bikes 24/7. Strada is different - honest, friendly, clear advice and outstanding service to the bicycle.
