Good casual spot. Regular live entertainment, hot pies and pasties, good selection of different beverages. Reasonable price. Now has a pool table and darts board.

Absolutely beautiful food, service was great! Very polite! We enjoyed a large fish chips and mushy peas!

Local hotel and bar, the house made pies are fantastic but all the food is very nice and a good selection of beers and a good outside drinking eating garden with a under cover option and the staff are very friendly and helpful, all in all a great place to stay and visit.

Great central location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious and fairly priced food (pizzas are so good). Will definitely be visiting again

These guys were a welcome relief from some really awful service at the Silverdale Hotel just down the road! Didn’t need a booking to get some hot chips for our daughter, went out of their way to make us welcome & even though understaffed…they tried hard to make sure we left Silverdale much happier than we had left the Silverdale hotel! A couple behind us had also had the same awful customer experience at the Silverdale & it was great to see that as just 2 couples that were turned away we contributed circa £60 to a place that is welcoming & wants to make people feel that it is a great place to stop!

Been for two meals here this weekend, one was pre booked and one was spur of the moment, both times all 21 of us were so impressed with the food, the service and the great beer! Will definitely be back when we visit again! Thank you!

Polite and attentive staff. Very reasonably priced and the food was good. We came here after a terribly rude experience at a different pub down the road, so we were really pleased with the warm welcome we received.

Very special evening created by really friendly staff and excellent food in a beautiful setting whilst spending the week walking in Silverdale. Our family of 4 had the Wednesday 'Steak night' special - £35 per couple including a bottle of good quality Malbec. We ate upstairs in the front window - tastefully renovated with beams and lots of character. Thank you for creating a very happy memory of probably our last family holiday with just us 4.

Can't fault this village pub with friendly staff and a wonderful burger made by the butcher's next door.

Good food and service at a very reasonable price. The food was freshly prepared, and the service was excellent. Also helps that is was only a 10 minute walk from Gibraltar Farm Campsite where we were staying.

Good pub owned by Holgstes. The staff are always friendly and there’s a good range of beer and lager. Outside tables too for those rare balmy summer days. Also it’s dog friendly.

Love the Royal. On the main road of a quiet area. Part of the Holgates empire. Refurbished to a very high standard, good food, clean, fresh, it's a lovely retreat to watch the world go by sitting in its conservatory, or keeping warm in the winter by the open fire. Recommended.
