We had a great day.
A whole new experience wading through , almost knee high , water along every path.
Not a great amount of birds but they were up close due to the water levels , with swans and ducks swimming in front of us.
We were very lucky at the end of our visit to see the starling termination.
The pictures are of the paths we walked along.

Brilliant RSPB reserve. It's a beautiful environment especially in the sunshine, with several hides and a great viewing tower. Really friendly and knowledgeable people. Visitor centre is very nice with a lovely cosy cafe that does breakfast, lunch and cake.

Definitely need wellies at the moment - all the paths are underwater!

Lovely reserve with great staff and volunteers! I rented binoculars since this was a very impromptu stop, and the staff at the info desk was very helpful. The caffè was great, had a coffee and vegan cake. The reserve is beautifully maintained and great hides to see loads of birds (still learning all the names, but I did identify a pair of marsh harriers!), and hear the bitterns booming. Definitely worth the visit!

The staff and volunteers are so friendly and knowledgeable. You can easily spend a day here going from hide to hide. You could hear the Bitterns booming throughout the day. To top it all, it has a great cafe too!

Beautiful nature reserve, very nice staff. I like the high platforms to observe the animals, comfortable hides, you can borrow binoculars. My daughter really enjoyed this place.

Absolutley beautiful reserve with long walks in all directions available. I loved the watch tower where you can see out over the reserve and spot your favourite birds.
We'll maintained paths and boardwalks.
Dog access is restricted due to the nature of the place.
Beautiful garden area with ponds for a wander around.
Large car park with plenty of space just across the road.
Toilets available along with a donation box if visiting out of hours.
Really enjoyed visiting here and will definitely be back again. Absolutely beautiful place and we'll maintained.

It was a beautiful day. The sanctuary was well maintained. We saw lots of different species of birds. We also saw deer and foxes. Would recommend if for a visit if bird watching is your thing.

A great place to visit. I'm a novice when it comes to bird watching, but managed to see a Bittern and 4 Marsh Harriers passing food mid flight. All the hides are easily accessible even with mobility scooters (which are available to hire at the venue). Great cafe and visitors shop. We'll worth a visit

A large RSPB nature reserve at the foot of the Lake District. Stunning wildlife and views. Well maintained hides, large carpark and modern visitors centre with toilets. Narrow, bendy roads lead to the nature reserve, so I recommend taking it slow if driving in and out.

There are activities for young children, such a pond dipping and bird feeder watching.

The reserve is large and even though the paths are solid and well maintained, it can be a trek to some of the hides. I recommend using a wheelchair or mobility scooter to get around the site, if you have difficulty walking long distances.

Friendly staff.

Spent a couple of days visiting here.
Very helpful and informative staff and volunteers. One even moved their car for us as the car park was full.
Good hides, good visitor centre and shop, great cafe. Most importantly, a good variety of birds seen.
Recommended.

A brilliant reserve with easy access, open viewing platform & hides overlooking the pools. Plenty to see & hear which ever time of year you decide to visit. Including Marsh harriers & booming bitterns. With a walk or short drive to 2 more hides overlooking Morecambe bay.

Wonderful place for families with children and not only. If you come by train, with the train tickets, it's half price entrance, it use to be for free before the lockdown. Coffee place inside is very nice with very polite staff. Bird nature reserve it's just like a paradise, will endless paths to discover, huge variety of wildlife birds, insects and plants. Very clean and nicely maintained. We had wonderful day out and will definitely come back for more. 🦋🐝🐛🌸🌳

Super nice place for dog walking and wildlife. The dog trail is good and there is also a no dog zone where the otters are.
We went when the weather wasn't great but it didn't hinder our experience at all. We have bought. Seasonal pass and will be back again. The cafe and shop are lovely, great food options especially if you are vegan or gluten free.
Very clean toilet facilities too and helpful knowledgeable volunteers x

Lovely place for a walk, all flat and highly accessible. Passionate and chatty staff and wasn't too busy on a bank holiday Monday. Lots of birds but easier to hear them than see them in the tall reeds.

Its a beautiful place run by really lovely staff. I bought a telescope from them today and the help was outstanding from Lesley/ and Rob advised me 2 days earlier on the scope which is absolutely brilliant. I come to Leighton Moss to escape the madness of this world and indulge in my passion for Birds, its perfect, thankyou to all staff.

Lovely place to visit. We had our dog with us so could only visit the public footpath and the hide just off the path, but the path was nice and well maintained, we enjoyed the walk and watching activity from the hide.
Not a lot of activity on the very wet day we visited, but we saw an otter as well as coots, mallards, swans, grebe and cormorant etc, so it was worth the visit.
The shop is dog friendly and we got takeaway coffee from the cafe, as dogs are not allowed in there.
