The Canal Turn in Carnforth is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. As the name says, it's on the canal turn with great views.

A large beer garden with great views to watch the world go by. Great selection of food and drinks on there menu. They also offer live entertainment some nights.

A place to stop off after a long walk or boating on the canal. Also a dog friendly pub.

Cosy, simple little pub. Food selection a little small, would have liked some more smaller lunch options but the food was tasty.
Dog friendly and nice views onto the canal.

Though fully booked, they were happy to take more & turn around tables. More work in a shorter time for the very busy staff but lots more happy & thankful customers!

One of the best Sunday roasts i’ve tasted, with really tasty gravy!

Apple crumble and custard was equally as welcome! A generous & tasty portion.

I meant to take more pics of the food...but hunger came first!

Canal Turn, Carnforth, beautiful setting on the river with an array of wild life. Fed the swans with their 8 cygnets. Very good welcome from Laura, very attentive and professional. Told us the daily specials and only one dish not available. Didn’t matter though as the steak was fantastic. Will definitely go back and try the Sunday Roast.

Great pub on the banks of the canal, with a lovely outside seating area overlooking the canal and if it's cold a conservatory. The staff were friendly, the beer was great, we really liked the place although we didn't sample the food the menu looked good and not too expensive. Looks like we'll have to return for a meal then !

Lovely little pub. The view next to the canal is a big attraction. Food is a good standard, nothing mind-blowing and quick and easy. Food prices are good. Excellent for a chilled stop off for lunch or some hearty food.

Really friendly pub, good value with nice staff. We arrived drenched and there first priority was helping us find somewhere to dry our coats. We’ll be back again

We just called in, on our way home. She said she couldn't make anything only a cheese toasties, as she was waiting for the kitchen to be finished and the chef to arrive. We had this and a coffee. It was wonderful. We will be back. Highly recommended. She deserves to get on. Lovely person.

This is a fantastic pub, with great views, we booked our table and were seated straight away upon our arrival. The kids meals were fantastic quality, my husband and I had the Sunday roast which was absolutely delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. And to top it off it was dog friendly! 10 out of 10!

Such a lovely pub. It's a really friendly place. We were staying with a friend and had dinner and Sunday lunch everything was excellent from the minute you walked in the door to when you left food was tasty and plentiful and the landlord was lovely, on the ball and knew what was going on all the time. The staff all had lovely smiles and looked happy in their work. We highly recommend

Visited here this afternoon for a few drinks with family.
On our arrival we we're greeted by (I presume) the manager and advised where there was seating available that was not booked for dining. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The pub itself is clean and a pleasant place to be. There is plenty of seating inside and out, overlooking the former marina on the Lancaster Canal.
Although we did not eat today, there were plenty of people there for food and the food we saw being brought out of the kitchen looked great and we intend to visit for food in the future. I would certainly recommend a visit if you are looking for a nice place for a few drinks or a bite to eat.

Turned up after a longer than we thought canal walk, but it was closed but the lovely ladies made us a cuppa , on the house and brought it outside. Worked a treat, as we managed to walk all the way back too. So grateful for going above and beyond. Thankyou. Mandy, hubby and 🐶 puppy
