A lovely little spoons that just seems to me to be out of place - I have no idea why it just looks that way! Oh well, this spoons is much more spacious inside than what you would expect, being quite long and narrowish. The staff were wonderful and very polite and there is seating out the front and another area down the right hand side as you enter the pub, opposite the bar. The Guinness was excellent.

Young waitress with one blonde & one dark pigtail was extremely rude & argumentative today. No way to speak to customers regardless of whether she was having a bad day or an obviously busy shift. We had politely asked for our table to be cleared when we placed the food order at the bar, due to not being able to find a clean table that was free. After waiting patiently for approx 30mins for our food to arrive, the table had still not been cleared so there was no room to place our meals & she felt it appropriate to put them on seats whilst she only partially cleared the table and snapping "I've only got 2 hands" and "I can't clear any more of this because I'm only serving food" Absolutely no need for this level of unprovoked rudeness.

A very nice lunch with friends. Pleasant, welcoming staff, a wide choice of lunchtime dishes and speedy service makes it a place that I will certainly revisit.

Great spoons breakfast on the way to Southampton from London for the Sunderland match.

As most of Wetherspoon pubs, good food (curry, pizza) and superb Ale with excellent price :)
Small plates - spicy chicken wings and halumi fries ate the best ones :)

My first 'Spoons' experience: Great customer services, friendly staff and swift delivery of food ordered through the app. Staff came to check up on us to ask about desserts at the ideal time after our meal. Thoroughly recommend.

Very impressed with the service. Hard working young people really made my experience positive. I was greeted at the door and offered available tables. Drinks came in no time. Everyone was very cordial and happy to be providing the service. The pub itself is a very good size and tables were arranged well. And of course, a great selection of beers. Really chilled out early afternoon. Highly recommended.

Two of us popped in for lunch and found the pub clean,and friendly with very polite staff.
The food we had was hot and tasty providing us with great value for money food.
The young waitress who looked after us was called Kelly. This young lady was an absolute credit to her pub ,so helpful and polite. Thank you for a great experience.

Really good food, which isn’t always the case at spoons, but this one has got it down! Had a mix of vegetarian and meat, it was all good! Speedy and friendly service from the amazing team of staff. Small issue with the food getting slightly delayed, but a free drink was offered right away, even though it wasn’t needed and I didn’t ask for it. Could not ask for better service from a family run pub yet alone a chain, but Ed (young man with a ponytail) was excellent! So friendly and attentive, always checking in on everyone. I don’t think he stood still for a second that we were there, always running around providing some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen! Other staff could use Ed as an example! Overall a very positive trip to the pub.

Sunday Evening, tough to park on high street, but not impossible. Once at venue great value and family friendly. Unusually fast service with great tasting food and drink.

Family friendly, great food, clean and friendly staff.

Excellent pub, great choice of ales and beers with just as good of a range of wines to. Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I can see why it is always busy.
