Love my local shop. Staff are so helpful and friendly. There's a good range of choice and plant of special offers too.
It's just a shame that they get the blame for the overflowing recycling bins and the idiots parking on the double yellow lines outside causing accidents when exiting the large car park. Neither of these are anything to do with the Co_Op and I've been horrified when I've encountered people ranting and swearing at them.

We went here to shop for food for a weekend break in a caravan park situated near this co-op. The store was ideal. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg. A good selection of breads and convenience foods. Plus other items such as toiletries, cleaning products, alcoholic drinks. A very handy local store.

We just moved here, and I have gone to the coop for all our food requirements so far. I can't fault it. Not only do they have a much wider range than the coops where we moved from (we can get most of the herbs and spices we need, nearly all the cooking ingredients, including for allergy needs, or more unusual foods, the range of frozen foods is pretty good, including a fair range of vegetables, spinach, whole beans etc on top of the usual peas, sweetcorn and mixed veg, and a selection of meat free too as well as a reasonable variety of fresh fruit and vegetables- really top notch for a local shop) but my favourite thing about it is how very helpful the staff are.
They opened an extra checkout so I wouldn't have to wait so long with my small children to pay, they even offered to carry my heavy basket for me while I shopped (I didn't take them up on it, but it was lovely to be noticed and asked!) They patiently talked about local attractions and things my child with ASD had noticed and had questions about.
The other reviews have been very negative, and perhaps these kinds of extra mile customer services are the norm here, but, they are not where we moved from and I will happily continue to do my shopping here.

Well, where do I begin...

I'd like to keep this review short, but I feel as though given the richness of my experience, that will be difficult to attain. On to the night of my visit...

Stepping outside of my front-door, I took a moment to just take in my surroundings. The sky was clear, the wind was still. Stars began revealing themselves as the crimson sun dipped below the horizon.

As I began walking towards my destination, my mind gravitated towards positive thoughts.

'This really has been the perfect day' I thought to myself. 'Surely it isn't possible for it to get any better?'

How wrong was I...

I walked around the shop gathering the items I needed. All items were easy to find, and arranged in such a way that not even the royals could vilify it.

With my basket in hand, I made my way towards the kiosk...

As I neared the kiosk, I looked up towards the shop attendant - expecting your typical reluctant, forced smile. The type you see in most stores nowadays unfortunately.

But today this was not to be the case. And in all 27 years of my life... I can safely say... that never, and I mean never, have I been greeted with a smile that radiated such equanimity and compassion.

As I handed my items over, it was if time itself stood still. There was no judgment, no reluctance, just pure acceptance, and an unparalleled willingness to help me the customer through this process.

As I left the store with my goods in hand, I took one look back...

That same smile greeted the very next customer, just the same way that it had greeted me just a few moments earlier. I smiled, and felt a rush of hope pulsate through me. It felt good to be reminded, that truly good people really do exist in this world.

That concludes today's review. I didn't catch the shop attendants name that day, but for those of you who are yet to visit the store, this particular lady had short purple hair, styled in a pleasent manner. And I'm absolutely positive she'll make your visit just as great as she did mine.

10/10! The best Co-op shopping experience I have yet to have!

Dunno what it's like there right now but this is my local supermarket for just over 20 years. The team is fabulous. Can't say a bad word about the staff, many of whom have been there years, which in itself speaks volumes. Thanks to all of you.
