Took a last min visits to Ye Olde Dun Cow. We were seen to by Becky? (don’t hold me to that). She was really hospitable and helpful. We were sat quickly and accommodated to. Food (I had fish and chips) was beautiful. Really nice relaxing atmosphere. My godmother forgot her scarf to which Becky brought it to me before we left. I had also noted the decor which was lovely (in particular these bird ornaments (don’t ever sell them unless it’s to me lol). But just overall a lovely evening out thanks to all at Y.O.D.C.

Fantastic food, lovely friendly staff. Stayed in the area for 6 days and ate here 4 times as the food is fabulous. Had a variety of food, from scallops, smokies, Sunday lunch beef and lamb, salmon etc and all amazing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, we will stay in the area again because the food and staff are 2nd to none. Lovely home cooked gastro food.

We sat and chatted to a lovely couple in their 90s who have been having their Sunday lunches there for 8 years, due to the food and how well they are looked after by the staff, which says it all. Lovely wee cabin shop also managed by the pub owners, has some lovely local supplies.

Delicious food from a relatively broad/extensive menu. All superbly cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is decorated with historic memorabilia from the local area, including the former Burton Breweries.

Really excellent.

Booked a table as the pub was about equidistant from our place and our friends home, also the amazing reviews about the pub. We were not disappointed. Service was first class. We were made to feel extremely welcome . We arrived a little earlier than our booking time and sat in the bar area while we waited. Great atmosphere . The menu covered most tastes, and the quality of the food was excellent. Extremely attentive staff made this a "Must" go again establishment. A little off the beaten path, but still very much worth a visit. Thank you to all at "Ye Old Dunn Cow".

We dined there in jan 24 on a Sunday and although they were very busy, the staff were polite and efficient. The three meals we ordered were simply superb. Portions were more than enough, with lots of vegetables provided. You won’t be disappointed if you dine there

Absolutely delicious food at the pub. Well worth the visit, some of the best gastropub food we've ever had. Lots of gluten free options too.
The lamb and plaice mains were to die for. The king prawn starter was amazing and to top it all off an amazing Eton mess.
Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Can't recommend it enough.

I've never had such delicious cuisine as I did at this restaurant. Everything about their restaurant was fantastic, from the service to the presentation.

I would go there again and again. I defiantly recommend this place. You must go, you are really going to enjoy it.

P.S. I was too hungry to take a picture.

My parents and I are regulars here and the food is always exceptional.
The staff are also always great and there’s a good beer selection on tap!
I really like what they do on Sunday’s with street food vendors coming and setting up so you can have something a bit different in the beer garden with a pint.
A must try if you’re in the area.

We’ve had lovely meals every time we go to the Dun Cow - we booked for my brother’s birthday today and mentioned the occasion on the phone; we unfortunately had to cancel, but the lovely woman on the phone mentioned how she was putting up banners and laying the table. I just wanted to mention the excellent customer service and the personal touch they added, even though we couldn’t make it - she was lovely and the thought meant so much for me and the family. From past experience, the food is delicious and the staff are amazing - would highly recommend!

Lovely country village pub. Visited with the walking group. There were 30 of us and the service was excellent. The staff dealt with the usual confusion when ordering for a large group really well. All 4 courses came promptly and the food was really tasty, plentiful and hot! Brilliant!
