Once you get up to the castle, the views are amazing. Particularly like the stone spiral staircase taking you up a couple of floors! Free entry makes this an enjoyable, cheap day out.

Nice walk in the sun up to the castle. The view were great. I would advice walk around the castle on the way down and loop back to the most beautiful beach. Was great to take our dog!

Short walk up hill & worth it when at the Ruins. Great views of the surroundings and lots to see. You can walk up the medieval spiral staircase of two of the towers. Great fun and full of history. Great for kids to rome free. Peaceful place. Best to visit with good weather.

What a beautiful place to visit. Its a climb but not hard disability friendly. The views from the castle are amazing and guess what ?? It's free...unbelievable. Why can't they all be free they belong to everyone not just money making. Hope you enjoy it and the village at the bottom is a very beautiful quaint place with lots of beach.

Bit of a steep walk but lovely views from the castle. Interesting information about the history and how it was years ago.

Really well looked after. Such a gem. Amazing to look out over the estuary from the castle ruins. Totally beautiful.

(FYI it's a bit of a walk from the public parking at the beach up to the castle so wear your walking boots!)

Nice castle with a little walk up a hill. Free entry. Dog friendly. Once you've been up to the castle as you are coming back down the hill you can get to the beach. There is a dog ban on the beach Infront of llansteffan but past the play area is dog friendly beach, nice and quiet too

Extensive castle ruins with stunning views over the estuary. Steep walk uphill from the beach car park but the views are worth it.

Lovely ruins of a 13C castle. Be prepared for a steep climb up a narrow road but the views are great and enough space for a picnic at the top. Nice bit of history on a few signs too. Great opportunity for photos.

I've never seen such an extensive castle layout and the information boards around gave a real picture of how this castle was used. Full marks to the folk who keep this open, which is great to visit and learn from.
The views from the top are brilliant too (see the pictures attached).

Beautiful beach, lovely long stretch for walks. Shells galore for if your children are like ours and collect them! A bit of an uphill walk to the castle but we'll worth it. We had the best day out here
