The Fox & Tiger

We recently did a hire for an event the Fox and Tiger were putting together. Ellie and the staff were extremely helpful. They did an amazing job and the event went amazingly! The pub had such an amazing family feel to it. Everyone was well mannered and polite. Definitely looking forward to working with them in the future!

I live in Thorpe Astley, but you'll always find me in the Fox & Tiger.
Great place friendly staff, great Djs..Disco every Friday and Saturdays...Great place for all ages .. Beer garden when the weather is nice!... 👍

Just popped in for a couple of pints.. Any pub that pours a good quality pint is worth praising.

Don't normally write reviews but wanted to give Ellie a mention who works at The Fox and Tiger. Ellie is always very helpful at all times and always has a smile on her face. It goes a long way and i think she is certainly a great asset to this pub. Nice one Ellie. Keep it up!

It depends on what you come here for, we usually come for a dance at the weekend as it saves travelling to the city centre which is well dodgy these days. I find that people of all ages come here too. Never had any problems and the staff and doormen are civilised.

Great pub with great friendly staff. They support the armed forces and veterans in particular, holding a veterans breakfast once a month. As a veteran with PTSD being able to speak with others who 'get it' and speak the same language is so important. I can't thank this pub enough for welcoming us and giving us a place to talk.

Decent pub, good atmosphere most of the time. Way better than it used to be. The owner has really put effort into making it a good pub. Put a lot into the community too.

Very impressed with our recent visit to the Fox and Tiger, especially in the current Covid times we are living in. The Landlady and staff have implemented safe and workable practices for all customers and staff, there is so much scope to get this very wrong - as we have seen in many other local pubs recently. However, the social distancing, spacing of the tables, queuing system for the bar, record keeping and fantastic outdoor marquee space, at a considerable outlay i'd guess, are all highly commendable. My wife is a Licencing Officer for LCC, so enforcing such measures is part of her teams role, although we were here for a night out not on duty, there was nothing out of place. If you are still debating whether to step out for a few drinks locally, the Fox and Tiger should put your mind at rest where you can safely do so, inside or out. The Marquee is excellent and the largest we have seen in the area and a non smoking environment too, which is a massive plus for me. This will be a fantastic addition as the nights draw in, surrounded my many colourful pots and shrubs still in bloom and pretty decorative lighting, hopefully there are some patio heaters on the way as we approach October to take the chill off too, which i'm sure they have in hand. Lastly, the selection of beers and ales is admirable, as although a Heineken establishment, there are many guest ales to choose from alongside standard lagers and cider options - although another draught cider would be welcome, such as Cloudy Apple. But, it's the fantastic Beavertown Neck Oil that keeps me coming back, a quality 4.3% citrus session IPA which is rarely found on draught, in fact this is the only place I know of in South Leics. I moved from Blaby some years ago, but will happily travel to revisit The Fox and Tiger more regularly now, versus paying M&S £8 for 4 small cans as I have been doing. Great pub with great service. (Staff are amazing 🙃) Wide range of drinks with family/ dog friendly atmosphere in the day and a more lively atmosphere with a dj at the weekends.

My New Local and I love it. Good music, nice people. I always feel very comfortable here and see many people I know every week. I like this pub better than The Dover Castle. That is saying something.

Great sized beer garden, Awesome staff, on site parking along with beer offers. Winning combination!!!

Great pub staff are always friendly. My dog loves the fuss she gets in there. It's just not the same at weekends unless Slinky's playing the tunes 🎶🎵🎶
