“New Management – New Menu - Excellent”

We haven’t been to the Twnti Pub (aka Tu Hwnt I'r Afon Inn) for a meal since 2016 although it is on our doorstep. We had heard that the food was good under the new landlords Mike Rowe and Cat Becket. So when some of our guests asked where we could all go for a farewell meal before they left we suggested giving the Twnti pub a try. Had a look at their menu on fastbook and messaged them to see if it was current which it was, so we gave it a go.
A Robinson’s pub, so usual Robbies’s ale’s available. We were made to feel most welcome and there was a fire going in the wood burner – happy days. Sat down with a drink and looked at the menu – order taken and the people on a large table near the fire left so we moved on to this table – result! The young lady behind the bar brought us new drinks and came with starters for two of us - Thai spiced cod fishcakes with salad and sweet chilli sauce which were lovely, delicious and light. Main courses came on hot plates and beautifully served two of us had the Sharing Platter for two - tempura prawns, cod goujons, karaage cheese bites, chicken goujons, onion rings, cheese rings, coleslaw, salad and a choice of dipping sauces - bargain at £16 and delicious. My wife had the Hunters Chicken - local breast of chicken wrapped in bacon with local welsh cheddar & BBQ sauce with beer batter onion rings (possibly a tad too much BBQ sauce would have been better with more cheese sauce, but did not spoil the dish). Two of us had the Lamb burger flames grilled 1/4 pounder with mild mint sauce and coleslaw all served with chips but that was our choice, I would recommend doubling up on the patties for an extra £2. All in all the food was great and nice to see local suppliers being used. The service was brilliant and value to money excellent bonus was the warming fire on a cold wet evening. It was a lovely evening a really good choice. Will definitely be going there again, may even try Sunday Roast as this also has rave reviews - many thanks - see you soon. Lovely cozy pub in lovely setting. Food outstanding and very reasonable. Cauliflower cheese extra £3 but large portion for 2. Looking forward to going back again. Friendly hospitable staff. Beautiful fire.

We ate Sunday dinner here as a group of six. The pub itself is a little old fashioned but this adds to its charm. We had a fabulous welcome from the landlady and her team and received great service . Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and were impressed with stunning roast potatoes, the creamiest mash and fresh veggies ( not to mention cauliflower cheese -stunning !). Really lovely. If you go here you will not be disappointed!

Great pub, fantastic views from the garden but as it was getting cool we came inside to eat as the sun set over the hills. Loved the pork belly, home made chips and veg. Red cabbage a highlight and a lovely rosemary and apricot jus. My better half enjoyed her chicken burger. Great pint too.

Found this place at the end of last summer as we came back from Aberdaron a different way. The staff were lovely and a good menu.
We phoned yesterday and booked a table and although the menu was a little smaller we still had a lovely juicy burger. Sean was a great host and couldn't do enough to help us. The lady with the ponytail (forgotten her name, sorry) is very bubbly and delight and I remember her well from last year. Now this place is on our radar we will always pop in when we are in Wales. Thank you x

Such a delight. This pub retains it's links with the past whilst the service is up to present accepted standards. The food is lovelly and real ale superb. I was there on a live session music night, the entertainment was first class. At one point I popped outside to the far end of the beer garden, hearing the music drift to my ears I couldn't help thinking 'this is how it must have been like 150 years ago' quite magical.

Best Sunday roast just like home! Group of us went on my birthday weekend and sat by the log fire. ❤❤The roast pork was beautifully cooked, the roast potatoes crunchy and fluffy on the inside and the veg plentiful. Super gravy too! Definitely recommend finding this friendly pub. Will be going again when we next visit the area.❤❤

Just called in after a walk on the beach with Bonham the Manchester terrier. We are happy to sit outside anyway but young barman went out of his way to make us comfortable. Rain was threatening so he opened the rain canopy over us and put the heater on. Considering that the pubs in town without any beer gardens had turned us away because of Bonham We have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone with a dog or if you just happen to be near Llanbedrog beach. Well done staff and thank you from Craig, Dolores and Bonham.

Absolutely wonderful, we were greeted as if we were family friends, the food was all local produce and then home cooked, service with a smile, what more could you wish for. Looking forward to our next visit.

A very basic Welsh pub with no airs and graces but the service and food (great portions especially the Mega Stack burger) with excellent.
