The surgeon who carried out my second cataract op was faultless. She took the trouble to talk to all three of us prior to surgery, then walked each one of us to the theatre. All through the procedure she carefully explained what was happening, which was most reassuring. I had the op yesterday, but unlike the first time when my eye took about three weeks to feel better, this time my eye feels almost perfect, and it's only day two! I really would like to say a big thank you to the surgeon (I wish I knew her name) and all her colleagues.

My honest review and experience.
This hospital has changed so much. Every staff is so helpful. I stayed 11 days due to AKI and the experience was amazing. Nurses are very helpful and friendly. I hate hospitals. I self discharged so many times even self discharged myself after suffering a stroke 3 years ago and I’m still paralyzed but King George Hospital is great

I'm a Lucky Person, because i don't really have Hospital experience. (Thanks God) But when I had the appointment for Inguinal hernia surgery all the staff members was really friendly. The surgery was well explained, the Doctor and the Nurses done really good job.
(I don't wish to repeat it, 😊 if don't need, 🤔 I just wish to say special & big Thank you for them.)
Thank you for all of you for your hard work.

Had a 5-star service at Adult day care unit. My nurse was Gloria, I don't know the names of the others but any staff member I came across was very caring, comforting and kind. Dr Rathod is the best but he couldn't have done it without all of you. Thank you very much for today. 🙏

Yesterday, I went to the Urgent Treatment Centre, via 111. I was triaged, given painkillers, x-rayed and saw the doctor all in under 90 minutes. Staff were polite, helpful and professional. There was even cold water available and staff were working to keep the waiting area clean. Well done to all the hard-working staff.

I had to visit this hospital with my Dad and i can not praise all the staff enough from nurses doctors porters technicians to receptionists.
Everyone was really sympathetic and helpful. I felt extremely grateful for the level of professionalism and compassion shown by everyone in the A&E and will always be grateful to them all.

Went to Urgent Treatment Centre following a call to NHS 111. I had spoken to an assessment officer, followed by a doctor and advised to attend hospital. I was seen and treated within 2 hours and received excellent care . Where else in the world, or indeed what other service can you get in this country so fast, so professional and FREE?! I think they're marvellous! Big thanks from me.

I had to visit A&E for L3 nerve pain in my lower back. The staff there were very caring, helpful, kind and supportive. Whilst it took 12 hours to see a doctor, the nurses in the meantime, did their best to keep me comfortable and delivered pain medication. A very special angel of a nurse particularly stood out Mariebell, she was outstanding and a credit to the nursing profession. If you are ever in her care, you will be deeply and sensitively cared for. This lady went above and beyond in her nursing duties and I cannot thank her enough. Dr Livjoy also treated me and was also very professional and listened to all my concerns and took time to treat me and help relieve the pain I was in. A young doctor who will go far. I’d like to thank all of the nursing, support and medical staff at King George’s hospital you are doing a great job and a credit to the NHS.

Had a great experience in the pediatric A&E attending for my 1 year old baby. Quick turnaround and staff was so caring they even gave him a toy when we were discharged.

I was in the Day Care Unit for my op today and can’t speak highly enough about all of the staff and care I got in there. Everyone was so caring, chatty and put me at ease before and after my op. I would like to thank all of the staff who took care of me, especially Martha (think that’s her name) and Farah.

Staff quite good here (most) but then you always get that odd member of staff that’s a bit rude. All in all it’s a good hospital, they seem quicker than others and quite efficient. If you can go here instead of queens then DO IT! It’s very local to me so obviously good for that reason also.

I had my operation on Friday March 1st at The adult care unit. From the minute i arrived my treatment was amazing.First a extremely friendly nurse took and checked all my details were correct.I then saw the  anesthesiologist who also checked my details.Another nurse took me to my bed chatted to me making me feel at ease, she put on my surgical stockings chatting to me as she went. The doctor the arrived to explain everything about my surgery.Whilst waiting to go down for my op the nurses continued to check on me and have a chat.I was then walked to the surgical suit were the consultant sat with me and explained everything again.I woke up in recovery to yet another fantastic nurse who took me back to the ward.I was then offered a sarnie and tea.For the next 2 or such hours i was treated like a gueen, untill i was discharged.

My experience at King George was second to none, could not have had better if i went privately

More about:excellent treatment well

I've had bad experiences in the past, but the amount of good experiences I have had far outweighs the bad. They have also saved my life several times.

I had hip replacement recently and have to say what an amazing hospital. I was on Japonica ward and had absolutely first class care from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were so attentive, supportive and friendly. I had a rough time pain wise but it was so well managed. The staff really lifted my spirits. The ward was spotlessly clean and the food was nice. I want to thank everyone for such a team effort. I cannot commend them enough outstanding angels

I stayed with my daughter in the hospital for 5 days. As one can imagine the experience is stressful due to the nature of it.

The team at Dhalia Ward were wonderful, 24/7 professional care with human touch. One comment from me would be for the Doctor(s) to communicate with detail and explain when information is requested to the level of detail the parent needs. At the end of the day we just want to understand it all and know what choices to make.

I also managed to have an A&E experience with my son for a fracture at the same time - again the team were very good.

Above all I am stunned with the level of stress and pressure the staff handles every minute. It is genuinely inspiring and I am grateful for the hard work.

I read a few comments here about the delays which then translate into low satisfaction reviews. I would like to say - I hope you understand that no one at the hospital deliberately wants to give you a substandard service or cause a delay. The people here are handling at times horrifically sad situations
and simply have to carry on working to ensure you and your children are cared for. So if you do have bad feedback - feel free to leave it for your MP who must work hard to change the government policy and help hospitals work and staff to have normal working conditions.

And please be nice to people around you - you just do not know what anyone is going through and strive to help rather than bring them down!
