Closest large green area to where I've been stopping. Been making a fairly regular loop of the park around 5km. It's a mixture of old woodland and open area with part of an old orchard. Lots of blackberries, sloe, apples at the right seasons.

I love taking a walk with the family here. Plenty of options in terms of the kind of walk you want to have and the possible paths to take. There's an outdoor gym and play area as well. Plenty of runners, cyclists, dog walkers and berry pickers.

Another hidden gem. Been using Claybury for many years now. A lot of investment has taken place in that time that means more sturdy paths better drainage and new exercise and kids play areas introduced. Great if you want to wonder/cycle through the huge forest or stick to the park path that leads to an original Roman road in one direction. Very Dog friendly 🐶

Lovely dense forest, a great adventure playground for kids. Nice spot for a picnic or bug hunting adventure. Recommended for kids, walkers and cyclists. Free parking nearby in residential area and there are some paths that a wheelchair could use.

Claybury park consists of walk paths, exercise machines, kids play area, a large pond and woods. Great for kids to run around in and ride their bikes. Gates are controlled and locked at sunset. BBQ or fires are not allowed.

Lived near here for a long time and blessed to have this on my doorstep, especially during lockdown. Its a semi wild country park so if you're looking for somewhere more civilised with a cafe and toilets, this is not the place for you but it is great for nature walks. Claybury is ancient woodland and open spaces with a large variety of flora and fauna, loads of birds including wild parakeets and i have spotted muntjac deer although they are shy so rare to see them. There are gravelled paths around most of the park although not all of it so in the winter some parts are muddy. There is a great child's adventure playground there, an open air gym nd a picnic area plus a small lake but note there are no toilets or a cafe and all the better for it in my view. I've found it a very safe place to walk, there are always dog walkers to talk to (and all lovely friendly dogs) and people with pushchairs but even so I've walked through the woods on my own and never had a problem. It is also a bluebell wood although the wild garlic is becoming very invasive lately. You can cycle over there but best to stick to the gravel paths. In addition, despite what a review says there are bylaws and you are not allowed to pick anything over there as it affects the bio diversity and they pick and sell the apples to bring in money for the park. Its definitely my favourite park for walking in Redbridge it's so wild but still very accessible and really a beautiful place.

This is one of the most beautiful forests on Earth and it is situated in London. It's like I'm on holiday every time I visit the park and I've living in this neighbourhood since 2006 when I reached enlightenment on 11th April 2017 the first thing was visit this park.

Beautiful, large park with trails through the forested areas and a paved path. There's a wooden playground for children as well as outdoor fitness equipment. Lovely park for a stroll.

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray …

Great country park with one of the largest ancient woodland in the London area.
Visit in spring for its woodland wild flowers.
Large numbers of wild service trees a ancient woodland indicator species.

Claybury Woods is lovely and so many people are not even aware it’s there.
A superb place for dog walks, nature trails and berry picking in winter with a play area for the children too.
Many different types of plants and scents.
A lovely place for a stroll or a summer picnic.
