Ilford War Memorial Gardens

Ive seen a lot of ghosts, spirits and jinn activity here during sunrise, sunset and at night, like howling, crying and even some cases a women's shadow, ive also witnessed laughing and dogs barking.

Very spectacular place to visit and it is also very haunted especially if you have to walk the path next to the gates and the children's ward(i also saw some figure there), both scary and spectacular.

No doubt it MUST be haunted because of the WW2 veterans.

About the park

The Memorial was built to recognise and remember the 1,159 fallen during the First World War from Ilford. It was unveiled on the 11 November 1922 by the daughter of Queen Victoria, Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. Ilford War Memorial Gardens Action Group (IWMAG) has worked with local residents, businesses, visitors and Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure to maintain the gardens and ensure our heroes are not forgotten. Conservation work on the “Men Of Ilford” War Memorial was completed in May 2015 with the help of The War Memorials Trust who provided partial funding of just under £5,000. Memorial Gardens is a Green Flag award winning space.

Nice place to sit. If it wasn't for others rubbish left around the seat. The place has bins. Anyway after my lunch I filled my bag up with all the bottles and boxes left around my bench and put them in the bin.
I wish people would appreciate and take care of their local area.

Well this is a good place for absorbing sunlight, taking rest in fresh air,
And overall it is good for all type of people's community.

Just Paying my Respects, the Imperial Elite of the Past Regimes of this Wonderful Country were never serious about paying them a proper rate for their services, yet they paid themselves well.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, nowadays it's the done to show one's admiration and total respect for our fallen hero's, we owe them a great gratitude and seeing this memorial stone and statue is so uplifting and thanks to Redbridge Council for it's care in tbe statue and surrounding park. 😊🇬🇧

Well kept. Nice to sit and remember those who paid to price for our liberty. Shame to see you teenager's throwing McDonald's wrapping on the ground.

Nice little park with lots of history. Well kept and tidy.

Hidden gem amongst the built up flats of Newbury park. Great place for a walk or to take the kids.
