The George Coleorton

We tried their shared seafood platter (pictures) and three bean enchiladas. Everything was good and freshly made. Also cute decor.

We booked the table for Sunday lunch, which had a very good choice on the menu .The deserts were irresistible and well presented.
The staff were attentive and were happy and friendly.
We booked again for a table of 8 for a midweek lunch, and I can't wait.
Parking is good but only has 2 blue badge parking bays close to the main entrance.
O they have a great choice of beers and wine 🍷 plus alcohol free.

This is by far my best pub locally for food (I'm from Markfield) would book there every time without a doubt. Lovely food , lovely people, really clean and always popular. What is also very important, they hold on to their staff and treat them well. Hence, same lovely staff for a few years I've been going .highly recommend.

Classic pub with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful interior and surroundings, attentive friendly staff. Food beautifully cooked with delicious flavours. I forgot to take a photo of the main meal because I couldn't wait to tuck in! Definitely make a point of visiting!

I think I've found the perfect pub

From walking through the door to a cosy pub with a bar full of superb (all well priced!) beers and ales, speaking to all the fabulous staff who can't do enough for you, the chefs cooking really amazing, well cooked meals that are out of this world...there is nothing to fault about this place.

I've just got to find the means to afford the mortgage on the £700k bungalow for sale down the road so I can call it my local

Visited here after work with colleagues for a quick bite and catch up. We all chose different meals and each thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was attentive, pleasant and faultless.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a pre-booked meal at 13.45 yesterday. The nachos to share were truly amazing to the eye and palate. The staff were highly professional especially Lucy who had to deal with 2 customers who had chosen fish and chips from the the al a carte main menu then noticed it on the Specials Menu for a little less money and wanted a refund. They had thoroughly enjoyed their food and had no cause for concern with the amount and quality they received. I felt like giving them the refund myself as it was embarrassing to hear. Thank you to the Team at George, Coleorton. You are amazing. I had travelled from the North West and you made us so welcome. See you again.

After reading reviews of the George we called in whilst visiting the area and weren't disappointed, pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and good selection of food from the menu ,quality food, reasonably priced and efficient service.

Great place for food and to take the whole family. Food is freshly made and not the basic pub menu. Kids menu is a good sized portion and the same quantity, can't recommend enough.

I was served by a young woman whose name was Elisha and honestly I have nothing but compliments for her. She genuinely was the most kind hearted waitress I’ve ever encountered. If only every single waitress was like her it would make every dining experience amazing. Food was outstanding to say the least but most importantly this particular waitress deserves a pay rise!!

Excellent food with a warm atmosphere. Love the menu choices which includes a 16oz fillet! Staff are attentive and accommodating. Deffinately recommended. 5 stars.

Lovely old pub with great views. Warm and inviting, good beers and wines. Ordered a panini as we had dinner booked for early evening, but had a good view of many different dishes, they all looked good and plentiful. The desserts were particularly good. Staff were happy, talkative and attentive. We'll be visiting again when we next go up there.

Went on Saturday lunch with my 3 daughters, so of course atmosphere was good. But the staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. Really enjoyed the food. We ate from the "normal" menu, "specials" menu and "lighter" menu and everything was delicious and well presented. Excellent value for money. Will certainly return
