Had Sunday lunch here recently. Can honestly say this was the best Sunday lunch I have had in a pub or restaurant. Loads of food. Great value for money. There were 8 of us at the table. Nothing was to much trouble 10 out of 10 all round.

What a fantastic place to stay, room's a little dated but that adds to the fact you're in the middle of a national park and what a beautiful national Park at that. Wayne the proprietor of the hotel could honestly not do enough for you. Please if you find yourself in Brecon and want a traditional no frills hotel but with all the service as if you're a local and friend give this place a try,Wayne it was a pleasure to stay with you 👍

Booked a last minute stay here for a hiking weekend. Would thoroughly recommend for location, service and price.
Bar staff were genuine and friendly at check in, the landlady very nice and friendly. Everyone very flexible and accommodating. Food tasty and good value. Nice big clean room with plenty of space for our dog and a really big comfy bed - perfect after a days hiking.
If you want simple, good value accommodation and food and service with a smile this is the place to come for your visit to Brecon.

Fantastic dog friendly bar. Good wholesome food and staff that are awesome. We called in for food and drink with our 2 dogs, we were made welcome and the landlord had treats for the dogs.
We will make a point of returning next time we stay in Brecon.

Bedrooms kept clean and tidy. Residents pay just £5 for breakfast. Excellent value. As are the evening meals; 10 ounce rump steak for £12, is typical of the value. Food is basic but great price. Decent beers, wine is fair, for its rating this hotel is fine. Located in town, free parking. Rooms recently decorated. Bar area is basic. Landlord and lady very friendly.

Amazing Sunday lunch. We have a fussy child and she was so happy with the Sunday lunch she was stealing ours too. We all left super full and for an amazing price. Will definitely be back and the 7 year old wants to come every Sunday 😀

Very warm Wayne, manager? and shown to our room, which was nice and had original sash windows. Bedding was ironed and mattresses good for a night's sleep. Decided to visit next day for a drink after a race we'd completed.

A lovely little pub with friendly helpful staff. We didnt stay overnight so cannot comment on the rooms but the food was tasty with decent size portions.

Nice place to stay, very central location in Brecon. The rooms were modern and very big, clean and comfy. Breakfast was made to order so nice and fresh. Had a small mix up with booking but hard to say who is to blame so not marking them down for that, careful when booking. Would recommend and stay again.

There was a friendly welcome from the staff and regulars. Good atmosphere and lots of laughter. The drinks are quite a bit cheaper than other pubs in Brecon and they have a selection of vegan options on the main menu and the children’s menu which is a refreshing change plus the meals are a reasonable price. Dogs are welcome outside and inside and they have bowls of water down for them (and the landlord is obviously a dog lover as he gave ours some treats 😊).
