Breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and after work pick-me-ups - we’ve delighted our tastebuds will all. The team are always very hospitable. The cafe is also dog friendly too, which is a big bonus.
The smoothies are highly recommended too.

Lovely little spot for some lunch. Toasties were really flavoursome with ample filling. Some great veggie options and vegan sweet treats! We had the Chicken & Pesto and the Mushroom and Emmental ones. Cakes were really moist and felt like such a treat! “Strong” coffee blend was certainly strong but very much enjoyed it all. Service was good too with a friendly, cheerful and helpful staff team. Ambient lighting, classic music and a warm atmosphere. Prices are a little steep but similar to somewhere like Costa, however our food and drinks were much much nicer.
Child and pet friendly with accessible toilet/changing facilities. Worth the stop.

There are many cafe's in Brecon, but Coffee #1 is by far my favourite. I have frequented others from time to time, but always gravitate back here.
The menu choice for both food and drink is impressive, especially the cake selection, you definitely won't be spoilt for choice.
The staff are always polite, welcoming, cheerful & hardworking, but the thing I like the most about Coffee #1 though, is the café itself.
The attention to detail, the eclectic mix of table & chairs, the brickwork walls & the cosyness of the atmosphere, it has an authenticity that's not replecated anywhere else.
So, whether you're having a quick pit stop, or a longer catch-up with friends/family, I couldn't recommend anywhere better.

Lovely café, very crowded when we were here (during jazz festival in August). Staff worked really hard and we so friendly! 30+ degrees outside but my daughter felt like a hot chocolate: not a problem! Different alternatives available for milk in my coffee, which was great. Loads of gluten free options too. Small play area with some toys and books. Definitely recommended!

Having great day in Brecon, mid summer. My fav tipple with Welsh cakes. Guess the drinks were having? Coffee 1# is very popular everywhere. Great Ambience.

Amazing - we stopped there for Lunch. There were lots of people which is always a good sign. The weather was cold and windy that day so we had some delicious Hot Soup and Bread.
We all decided against coffe and had either Spicey Chai Latte or Turmeric Latte - we were all happy with our choices.
We all said we would go back again

Great place to enjoy a leisurely coffee and chat. Didn't have anything to eat but what was on offer looked delicious.

Fantastic little place. All staff very friendly and coffee SO MUCH BETTER than costa. Sorry Costa but they are... snaks, lite bites and pastries also sold, and customer toilets.
There is also plenty of space to sit and a good atmosphere and quick reliable service....

We reviewed coffee shops in Brecon prior to visiting for somewhere to visit with our dog and were so pleased we chose Coffee#1 Brecon. Loved our visit, and were welcomed by a friendly team of staff, who provided us with excellent coffee and cakes. We cant recommend Coffee#1 highly enough. Our spaniel settled very easily in the airy, relaxed environment.

Great range of coffee and hot chocolate, I had the"whole lot of nuts" hot chocolate and it was amazing. Lovely warm cosy ship with a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Probably best describe Coffee #1 (Brecon) as quirky cozy place. It has a low ceiling. Many dissimilar tables and chairs. Walls showing brickwork, and floors a combination of tile & timber. The look has parallels with coffee shops in out of the way equivalents in small European towns.
I found my cappuccino to be most drinkable. There was a vast array of cakes (which I didn't try). The service was prompt and friendly enough.
I want driven to finish and go, but rather to sit lazily and watch... Certainly worth a visit.
