Matisse Salon

My experience with this salon and the team of girls was first class. I am a transitioning grey after a long process of growing out a box colour. Unfortunately my natural grey was not how I imagined it to be and was dull and unflattering. I wanted it lighter and brighter but still a natural silver. I was very nervous as a previous attempt at another salon a year before did not give me the desired effect and I paid a lot more then. I should add, my daughter-in-law and daughter both had their hair done at Matisse a few weeks previously and were both happy with their balayage and cut, so that’s why I booked in. After a consultation and a test strand, I went in for my treatment which consisted of a full head of highlights with a natural blend at my roots as I didn’t want a regrowth line. I then had a toner which the girls persisted with until they were happy with the results. I had a beautiful cut and style afterwards and the results were better than I expected. When I compared photos of the desired colour I had asked for and how my hair turned out, it is nigh on exactly the same. I will definitely be going back and would recommend any silver sisters who are on the long journey of going silver but want a bit more to their natural grey to take the plunge and treat yourself. I would recommend any age to to this salon and am writing this review as it was previous reviews that convinced my family to go there in the first place. My treatment was a joint effort by Savannah and Gemma. Thank you girls x

Very pleasant and polite with plenty of coffee or tea. I had a great haircut and it looks better than it has for a long time. I had a good hair wash and head massage before my cut. Thank you very much Gemma.

So pleased with my cut & colour with Gemma. I was a bit anxious after 15 years with my old hairdresser but was made to feel very reassured by Gemma, who talked me through every step, checking I was happy. A very friendly and welcoming Salon and amazing head massage.

Had my hair cut and finished by Claire today. She is a fantastic stylist and would highly recommend she listens and understands your needs. She always advises on how to maintain my look with the use of different products.

Had a wash and blow dry Also a little trim.Today by the wonderful Gemma !! Beautiful work and very kind, and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Great hair salon x

I had my hair cut today by Gemma, it was my first time visiting this hair salon after a recommendation from my friend. The whole team greets you with a warm and enthusiastic welcome, offering you a drink whilst asking you what you would like done. Gemma asked specifically how I wanted my hair cut and delivered exactly what I asked for. Before my haircut Phoebe shampooed and washed my hair, it was so relaxing and she gave great care to washing it thoroughly. The salon itself was very clean and professional. Overall it was the best experience I’ve had at any salon. I will certainly be back soon!

I have been having monthly appointments at Matisse Salon for many years and I am always pleased and impressed after every appointment. The salon has recently been refitted beautifully and is always very clean and airy. The staff are very friendly, approachable and professional. The salon has a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Appointments are always a lovely experience with time given to update your stylists and colourist on any hair problems or worries. The Salon has optional lay-back chairs for hair washing (very comfy) and head massage. I would recommend Matisse Salon, you won't be disappointed.

I cannot recommend this wonderful place enough.
I was struggling to find a salon that I felt comfortable in and not stressed about after a really bad experience in another place years ago and a general dislike of extra bright lights and not getting a good hair cut.
Matisse Salon have completely changed my view on what a salon experience to get your hair cut can be like.
Welcoming staff, Savanah is brilliant and has taken the time to learn how I style my hair day to day to then give me a cut that just really works. A relaxing space and not a rushed appointment. Just simply Fab.

Absolutely amazing experience from the moment I walked through the door. I walked in a tired and exhausted Mum and walked out feeling fresh and relaxed. Thank you to all the team who took their time to really understand what I was looking for and helped style my hair in exactly the way I anticipated. Had a long overdue appointment with Gemma today for a restyle. She was very patient as I had no clue what I wanted done, talked me through some ideas and I'm pleased with the results. Will be back.

I had savannah today it was my first time going to Matisse savannah did a excellent job she listen to what I wanted and checked in with me throughout, my hair was perfect and looked exactly how I wanted definitely coming back!
