Had initially booked to stay at the glamping site however due to unforeseen circumstances and adverse weather we were moved to the hotel. The team were extremely quick to get us sorted and were super friendly. The hotel itself is very clean and warm and the decor is very nice. Food was decent but the main thing for me was where the hotel is located. Such an amazing location with breathtaking views, they also have a number of activities on site making it a great place for the family. I will definitely be coming back here. Great place for the winter.

The place was magical. We were accommodated by a friendly staff who gave us all the information we needed. The room was clean, spacious and luxurious. There was a handwritten letter waiting for us which was very nice. Since we were hungry, we went to eat at the hotel restaurant. The prices were not particularly overpriced. The food was delicious and they even had a vegan option. The breakfast was delicious. We would visit again.

Had such a wonderful stay here. We were staying at a place down the road, but it was so loud and we were up early walking. We rang up last minute and the woman was so accommodating for myself, my boyfriend, and our dog. Room was beautiful and clean. Lovely and quiet. I find it really unfair that some of the reviews seem to complain about the age of the staff… just because staff are young does not mean that they are incompetent. They did a wonderful job and me and my boyfriend are looking at coming back for another stay!!! Highly recommend.

Had the loveliest stay here, beautiful hotel with lovely helpful staff, would highly recommend it. We stayed in room 10 which had the most stunning views. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from zipworld which made it so easy to do all the activities we wanted to do. There's a public footpath behind the hotel, up the road a bit from the turning, and the views from there were gorgeous. Breakfast was great too!

Absolutely great place to stay, excellent value for money.

Staff were friendly, food was great, rooms were more than accommodating, and there was ample parking.

Should we ever return to the area, we will happily booked with Plas Weunydd.

Lovely room and friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet that was very good but if busy serving staff seem unable to keep up or anticipate demand for items, repeatedly had to ask for bread to toast and bacon.
Lovely setting, we would return.

The hotel is situated at the foot of the mountains and slate mines, right next to zip world and all of its adventures - perfect and such a scenic drive up. There is parking on site as well as golf buggies (which I assume are for the glamping). The staff are lovely, young and attentive, the room was cosy (we stayed in room 10), clean, nicely refurbished, well stocked with everything we could possibly want and need and the view behind those blinds in the morning was just mesmerising. Breakfast was traditional and delicious, exactly what was needed to unwind after a day of hiking. We spent time walking the grounds and taking in nature and the views. The tables outside are great for taking moments to just be present and enjoy a cuppa.

Excellent venue, though we did not stay, Plas Weunydd provided an excellent lunch venue on our car club outing through Snowdonia. Very easy to deal with and professional throughout. We worked in conjuction with the hotel via email to pre-order 28 meals and cakes, on arrival the hotel is a lovely as it looks with a fantastic lounge area and food. All the meals were exactly right, ready for us and it made a really easy and relaxing stop. All the staff were great and showed an interest in the cars, food was delicious and the Oreo Cake a highlight. Excellent value for money. This is the second time we have used them for our annual road trip, and once again they were fantastic. See you all again same time next year. Thank you.

Lovely building with a modern and friendly interior. In a beautiful Welsh setting.
It’s often difficult to find dog friendly hotels to my liking but this place is perfect and even includes complimentary dog treats.
Only downside was the heat but obviously out of the hotels control and a fan was provided.
Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a lovely dog friendly hotel.

What a beautiful place to stay. Stayed overnight as part of a supercar convoy and unlike a lot of people they and the local community welcomed us with open arms. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are fabulous. They even provide bug spray as unfortunately it is an area with lots little flies but they don't hurt you. The views are an added bonus. I'd love to stay again.

Lovely hotel, the room was super comfortable with excellent views. The staff were brilliant and made us and our dog feel very welcome. The food was great, breakfast could have been a bit bigger but the quality was good. The location is epic, there's so much to do in the immediate vicinity, hopefully we'll be back soon!

A lovely little hotel with fantastic staff throughout our stay.

We took our 15 month old son & our dog.

The facilities were great, rooms fantastic and every single member of staff were a delight to speak to.

I'd highly recommend staying here, as we'll certainly be going back soon.

We made a very late booking to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary after arriving in the UK from Australia. We were delighted to be upgraded by Sharon to a lovely room and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this lovely, tastefully decorated hotel. Our stay was made memorable by the warmth of all the staff starting from the receptionist to the bar and restaurant. We would highly recommend this hotel for a special and memorable holiday
Thanks again

One of the best hotels we have stayed at for the money !
Staff are great ,so helpful
The room was so clean , considering it’s pet friendly there wants a dog hair to be found. The bed was 10/10 the shower was amazing.

If I had to give fault it would be they charge £20 per night for a dog witch seems a little high

But I would definitely pay that again. Thanks

We stayed for one night as we booked the slate caverns activity at zip world, this is an ideal location for visiting zip world, right on the door step! The staff were lovely and welcoming, very clean and modern accommodation, the house is beautiful and has an interesting history. We had a couple of drinks in the bar in the evening and there's a great choice of local ales and nice wines. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff were friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. A brilliant stay, I would love to visit again.
