B&Q Clacton-on-Sea

Excellent helpful and friendly staff throughout the store, especially the Kitchen and Bathroom team (so much better than 'easy bathrooms' whose aftersales care and products are dreadful) , it's a pleasure to shop at B&Q, and the Service before and after you've purchased your goods is suburb.

Daniel has been brilliant at helping me, going out of his way to find the right person to ask, to find the right product i am looking for. Very happy with his pleasant and helpful nature. Certainly an asset to B&Q. Very good store and will go back to the store for our diy needs..

We ha e spent so much time in here as we are renovating our house. Staff are brilliant here. So friendly and knowledgeable. Great products, some things a little pricy but good.
Delivery service is great.

Wanted to buy 20mm stones but none on shelf, so asked a member of staff who was very helpful and thankfully they had the stones on pallets out the back. Then the guy kindly loaded my trolley with 10 bags. The store is always clean and tidy and friendly staff always on hand to help out.

Came in on Sunday with my wife looking for lightbulbs. We couldn't find them in the lighting section (go figure?) so asked a gentleman in the paint section if they had lightbulbs anywhere else. He took us there and asked what we needed. I showed him a bulb from my bathroom light and he started by saying "ah that's a bathroom bulb as you can see from the convex shape on the lens"...he told us exactly what we needed to know about energy consumption and so much more (without being boring btw). That is the best bit of customer service I have seen in my 59 years on the planet. Thank you whoever you are middle aged bloke tanned complexion. :-)

I got everything anytime when I went to this place! I'm very happy with this store.

Went into b&q with a custom made colour as I already had it on the walls, but they mo longer did it. Dino from the paint counter went above and beyond to match it, adding bit by bit of colour, two days later he matched it perfectly. Lovely patient man. Thanks Dino

From my experience one of the best B&Q stores.
Well stocked , but it is the friendly and helpful team on site that make it special.
Check when peak or busy times are as it gets busy.
Its open late so go later in the day
During Summer look out for the discounted plants

I have heard some bad reports about B&Q, but I must say that when I went in there with Dad this time to look at Kitchen Worktops, the lady that came up to us that was over the Kitchen was welcoming, friendly and most helpful and she didn't try and force us as some sales people can, to buy anything. She checked for us two Worktops that we liked as to delivery times, unfortunately because of the Lorry situation it went outside our time limit for the work to be done. The point is though, from what I saw the Customer Service this time was excellent.

Great shop didn't have what I wanted on this occasion but staff were very helpful.

Love B and Q. Classic shop. Got my massive bit of MDF cut up for me, picked up a couple of wicked jigsaw blades, what's not to love? Since we lost the Colchester store I've come to Clacton a few times and whilst it is more or less identical, I swear the vibe is different. It's like a whole different feeling walking in there. Totally much more cool than the Colchester branch was. Maybe that's why it closed.

I have been several times now to this store because I have recently moved here. To be honest the staff are friendly but mainly - like a lot of stores they just tell you the aisle no. But I'd like to give a young man called Luke G a mention that's what he said his name was. He went far and beyond the call of duty for me and it wasn't his department. He unloaded one of those big cages just to get me something right at the bottom, I felt so guilty that I offered to help him put some of the stuff back. He would not allow me to do this as he said I may hurt myself. I just wish there were more Luke G's in some of the other stores I've visited. A big thank you to this young man.

We had a kitchen appointment for Saturday morning on 14/05/2022 at the Clacton-on-Sea branch and was looked after by the lovely Luke. We are currently in the middle of purchasing our first home and are very new to this adult malarky, but Luke made us feel so at ease, helped us make the choices with our small kitchen and advised on the best products that were within our budget.

The customer service was not only fantastic, but we felt really at ease and could have a laugh whilst he worked his magic on building the blueprints whilst also providing expert knowledge with what was needed, what was missed from our point of view and remaining patient whilst we made decisions that we had not thought of before.

He is an asset to B&Q and we would highly recommend booking an appointment with him for anyone’s kitchen needs. Thank you so much Luke

Great for all your DIY no need to go anywhere else

Just wanted small paint pots to touch up paint. Found them straight away and had plenty of choice.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Really helpful. I was worried that I would not fit my chosen piece of 60 x 240cm conte board in the car, when the B&Q assistant helping me suggested that if I was intending to cut it, then I could have it cut to size in store. Brilliant! Despite it being nearly 7pm - I got my wood cut to size, so I could manage to lift it & saving me lots of work having to cut it into pieces myself👍🙂. Very pleased with the service at B&Q.

Staff always follow the government's Covid guidelines. Which is very reassuring. Also they are extremely welcoming and there is always a staff member about to help you if you can't find what you're looking for, the store is very big with a wide variety of products, its definitely been handy having that store so close to where I live

Although it's not one of the biggest stores around the country it does have most of what you need. Staff are helpful and polite. There is pretty much ample parking all the time. They are sticking to covid rules so no worries there.

Everything you need for home and garden. The store is massive, but they had plenty of staff on hand to direct you or help if needed.
Covid measures still in place, screens up, trolly cleaning stations available. Most staff were wearing masks.
