Popped to the Clacton store to pick up some bags of wood today. I didn’t have a coin for the trollies. But needed to get five bags. I asked one of the assistants if they could help me, and the lady didn’t hesitate in picking up the bags of logs that I couldn’t manage. When I got to the check out she had recruited a young man, who then helped me out to my car with the logs. I was in there for less than ten minutes, and without their assistance, I would have had to have made at least two trips. I can’t thank them enough for their assistance.

Nice friendly store as always go in for a few bits come out with a trolley full.
Cashier was really chatty and friendly even with a tickle in her throat bless her.

There are some seriously good Christmas novelties in here. I would go there first before visiting anywhere else! Plenty of bargains to be had!

Can’t praise the store enough, staff on shop floor and tills always friendly and ready to help, Want to say a big Thank you to Shane the Manager he went over and beyond for me when I wanted 2 items that wasn’t in stock, he contacted me when the first item came in and helped us to load it in the car. He wasn’t sure if second item be coming in stock, I asked if I could by the display model he said I could, I asked when could I collect the item he said “I’ll dismantle it now be ready for you in half hour!!!” He brought it out to the car and helped load into the boot I couldn’t believe it, I was really impressed. Don’t get service like that anymore!!!!! Clearly you do. Thank you Shane you made an old woman very happy x

There was plenty of car parking for this centre, but be warned space are tight. It took me ages to find one I could actually open my car door in. Home Bargains is well Home Bargains you go in for one thing and come out with 20 unexpected things :)

Always handy place to buy laundry items and bits and pieces. Prices very reasonably. Wouldn't recommend fruit though, bit under par. Roberts bread good.
One thing would mention till receipts spot on, unlike a lot of other supermarkets.

Got all what I needed and loads of room to use my mobility scooter.

I went to get a small trolley, as I struggle with the large ones, and found that they were all gone, which was surprising as it was only 9.30am. When I went in the store I asked an assistant what had happened to all the small trollies. I explained that I have mobility issues which make it difficult to use a large one. She was extremely helpful and explained that a lot of them were waiting to be returned due to being worn out or broken. Until they were taken, repaired and then returned it would mean that they have very few left in service. She then said that I could always use a basket and support it at the narrow end of the trolley, which would save me having to try and reach to the bottom when at the checkout. She even went to the trouble of getting a basket for me.
I can honestly say that it was a real pleasure talking to this lady as she was very polite, kind and helpful beyond what I would expect. She is a shining example of an excellent assistant and deserves recognition for her very helpful assistance.
I even went so far as to ask to speak to the manager to let him know that she had been extremely helpful and that I was exceptionally grateful to her for her customer service that morning.
I wish there were more shops with staff like that lady. An absolute pleasure to talk to and very helpful too.

Quick service at a fair price

A good shop sells a wide variety of items at reasonable prices.

Went in home bargins and just at the last minute see a garden storage box which I've wanted a long time and been getting them online and was rubbish, so as I see one on the off chance wanted to buy it but couldn't get it in my car as it was too small. Daniel who works in home bargains happen to live near me and offered to drop it off at my door I don't know him personally but I though how helpful this was of someone to offer this and he was very pleasant and polight to. Everyone in this store is helpful and would recommend to anyone. Hence why the 5 star rating.
