What do you do on a rainy day in Brecon?….go on a cruise down the River Usk and I’m so glad we did. The trip was beautiful, the crew were brilliant. But a big thank you to Tim for letting us stand with him while he steered us through the lock..a wonderful experience.

Great value and what a laugh. A boat for 8 people (and a dog) and £60 for a 3hr chug down the canal. Took a picnic and ate round the table on the boat. The rain didn't stop the fun! We loved it and we'll be back!

Booked on the day boat hire for two of us with two dogs. Amazing experience as we had never driven a boat before but it was easy to manage once you get the hang of the steering. The staff were helpful and friendly; Great experience along an idyllic stretch of the River Usk.

Booked as a surprise birthday treat for me on the hottest September 2023 day of the year. All my family loved the day and the dog gave a complementary 'woof'
Staff were excellent and attentive during the trip along a beautiful stretch of the canal, even travelling through a lock!
Excellent value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

Something very different to do... canal boat trip. Definitely recommended for the experience if anything. 2.5 hours in total exploring the canal whilst relaxing and to have snacks on which are available to purchase onboard. There is a small toilet in there aswell, suitable for wheelchairs, babies and children to.

The staff - Tim & Ellie were fantastic. Both bubbly and happy people who made the trip even better by being helpful & upbeat at all times.

Thankyou!

Really pleasant trip along the Brecon Canal waterways.i thought it was really good value and an excellent thing to do with the family. The trip was about just over two and a half hours. There's an opportunity for you to get off and stretch you legs halfway while they turn the canal boat around or you can stay onboard. They offer teas, coffees, biscuits and crisps etc on board but people where also bringing picnics onboard which was nice. The guys running it were all helpful and very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful day out.

Most enjoyable cruise with very helpful crew. Access is down a few quite steep steps but good strong handrails and crew. Wished it was longer.

A wonderful way to while away a couple of hours. A very relaxing journey down the canal. An informative audio description of the canal and its history runs as you set off down the canal towards the lock. Take a picnic and enjoy the scenery whilst you eat your lunch. If you are lucky you will see some dragonflies too, we saw four. What a treat.
