The Poplar Farm

Popped in for dinner as we passed it while away for a few days and glad we did. Tracy checked us in who was welcoming, friendly and showed us to our table. We sat in the dog friendly area as we had our rescue dog Ruby with us, they even serve up a little furry friends menu. Massive open fire which i bet is just amazing as the weather gets cooler. Although in a dog friendly area, we didn't feel separated from the rest of the pub either, The food and service were amazing thank you. They also have a little snug area for just drinks and somewhere to relax after your meal. Very cosy pub and 100% recommended if you are in the area.

We live in Dorset and come to The Poplar Farm as a meeting place with friends and family from Surrey/London.
We have always been warmly welcomed, the service is always very good and the food always delicious.
The pub is clean and tidy. The only negative would be that the toilets are a little 'tired' but always clean.

Stopped by for lunch. What a great find. A lovely old traditional English thatched pub. Lovely meal and wonderful service from Tracy and the staff. Dead on halfway for a fairly regular run so will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Environment is great, staff is lovely, food is tasty as well.

Had a pizza here (can't remember the name, meaty something?) with sodas shared between 2 persons and we feel full after the meal.

Pizza supposedly for 1 person but we have small stomachs I guess. Pizza is very tasty indeed.

We have been here a few times as it is a halfway point between us and our friends. The place has a good atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and the food is typical pub food but really well cooked and presented. Their triple cooked chips are great. We tend to book our next meal on the way out as we are that confident.

Such a lovely place! Me and my partner came here to try out their food properly as we had booked it for Christmas day...And WOW! we are so glad we booked it for Christmas day. The food was delicious! We both had the Lasagne and it was amazing. I had mine with Salad and Garlic bread and my partner had his with chips and garlic bread. The Lasagne was so lovely, you could actually taste the cheese sauce.. It was just beautiful! My salad was so fresh and crispy and the chips my partner had were chunky and just overall fab. The garlic bread was cooked and tasted perfect.
We had the Apple crumble for pudding and it was lovely. We did find it a little bit too sweet and we think it could of done with more crumble to fruit ratio but still amazing. We were served by Andrew. He was great. The whole time we were there he was working the room and he was so efficient and quite impressive. Definitely an asset to the team. Overall, atmosphere was lovely, chairs were comfortable. Definitely a 10/10. If we didn't have to get there by taxi we would come so much more often. A credit to Andover.

Everything was excellent. The venue was beautifully clean and attractive. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food quality exceeded our expectations for a chain business - more like fine dining. We visited because we had a 40% off mains and would definitely recommend and return.

Had a meal here on new years eve. Food was delicious and loved the live band that was playing. Will return.

We booked Sunday lunch for 4 persons. We were greeted by a friendly guy at the bar who checked us on the system and promptly showed us to our table. Our waitress offered to get us some drinks and then came back to take our food order. Although the restaurant was busy the service was good.
My husband ordered an Americano but we had to return it as it was very weak. The waitress replaced this straight away.
We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return.

Me and my other half went for our first visit and we will 100% be back. Everything was incredible.

Evening meal with visiting family members April 21st. Quality of the meals excellent. We were served by Jess who was terrific. Really friendly, with an uplifting personality. Staff all very welcoming. My wife and I have visited before, but it was a first for our guests. All were very impressed. Thanks for making our evening special

Parking area is further up hill so if you can't walk down lots of steps easily get dropped off at the bottom first.

Brilliant Sunday roast! The turkey was juicy, vegetables well seasoned and cauliflower cheese was beautiful! Both the puddings were the best we’ve ever tasted! Lovely atmosphere and building, 10/10! Will definitely come back here again 😄😄

After a busy day, the Team were still smiling when we went at 5.30 for my daughter's birthday. There were 11 of us, the service was great as was the food. Very impressed.

Our wedding day made perfect by the poplar farm inn. The food was delicious. The staff were fantastic with the service and kindness the landlady could not do enough for us. We were amazed at the low price of it all. Thankyou so very much
