The food is excellent here and good drink selection!! Very cozy tables here as well especially in winter or cold days. Will definitely come again.

A lovely old pub with more rooms than Dr who's tardis.
Gorgeous helpful cheerful staff. Great food that was well presented and served.
A great selection of beers but only one dodgy cider, which if you like cider....is disappointing.
The toilets were quite dated, but who spends alot of time in the loo?

We have not visited The Eclipse since pre COVID days.
It's a super pub , with a great atmosphere, nice to be able to relax and enjoy a few drinks and eat some very good food.
Not very busy when we arrived for lunch, but gradually got busier.
The Staff were very good.
Quick service, hardly any time to wait for our food.

I recently held my birthday party in the upstairs room of The Eclipse. Not only did I have a lovely time, but the room was perfect for what I wanted: a place for 20 people to have a good time in my hometown. The staff were very friendly and they prepared the room for our use well in advance of my arrival. I've always loved The Eclipse for being quaint and cosy for being at the heart of Winchester. The toilets, as other reviewers state, are not very nice; that's true. But overall my experience was a very good one. I recommend that you visit. Thank you, Eclipse team.

Friendly, welcoming pub in the city center. Open fire which is lovely. Right by the cathedral (so convenient for the Christmas Market). They do food but I haven't eaten there. Always a friendly crowd (unless it's really quiet, which occasionally is - but then it's really lovely to sit and relax).

Fab night out, occasional special entertainment, thanks Ed and friends for brilliant impromptu music last Saturday.

We have been calling in to the Eclipse Inn for nearly 20 years. Its a lovely little unspoilt British pub warm and cosy in the winter and cool in the summertime. Great well kept ale, cider and a good wine selection. We have never eaten there.

My friend is profoundly deaf and wears hearing aids, so when I asked about background music (makes hearing harder) the manageress immediately offered us a room upstairs which is usually just for functions and we enjoyed a great meal and wonderful service. Would definitely go again

Well what can I say, our large family booked here for Christmas lunch catch up and we were greeted when we entered, Jason the manager reserved us the room upstairs and I must say they done an amazing set up with the room, the the table setting was stunning and the room itself was warm and cozy. The Christmas lunch was very tasty and nice and hot. The staff were very friendly and so prompt with everything. We will definitely be back for another visit.. thank you so much for making our

Nice pie, nice beer pleasant, bar tender. Really enjoyed the oil portrait of princess Dianna on the wall.

We had an absolutely lovely time in this cosy pub. The staff were amazing, special thanks to Elliot for the great food recommendations and taking care of us! Highly recommend all of the Christmas Tapas. So delicious and filling!! We were on a short trip and would definitely come back another day. Many thanks!

Smashing small pub, top beers and a nice outside area which makes it brilliant in the summer as well. Haven't eaten here myself though.
