We've been there twice so far and we are planning next year as well. Quite and comfortable site with access to the river. Toilets/showers always brilliant clean. Even during Bank Holidays site wasn't too busy. Close to different amazing places around Snowdonia. I can highly recommend this campsite!

This was a lovely campsite, toilets and showers always clean and well kept. Access to fridge, freezer and microwave. Rob and his wife were always friendly and helpful with lots of advice about where to visit and walks to go on. Don't let it being so close to a road put you off...its quiet on the evening. Great location and good value.

We've had a wonderful week staying here in our Campervan. We chose to stay in the wildflower meadow which has stunning views and a winding path down to the river. It's a peaceful place full of nature. The river is clean with some lovely deep spots to plunge in. We found the facilities to be clean and well maintained. They're basic but in good working order with plenty of hot water. There's a recycling point and a kitchen with a freezer , microwave and two sinks. There's also crockery available to use. There's a field with electric hook ups and then the meadow and another field for camping in with access to the river. The owner is friendly and informative with lots of tips on places to visit in the surrounding area. Will definitely visit again and would definitely recommend to others

Lovely campsite! We stayed on a electric pitch, plenty of space! Short walk to toilets/showers/ washing up area!
Perfect for families!

Only downfall was very low pressure water in washing up area and when went to use shower one day was no hot water!

Overall lovely and would recommend!

Thanks so much to the owners and warden of the site. Very chatty and friendly. Such a beautiful location with tree swings down by the river. The toilets showers, recycling area, etc were immaculate. We used the site as stop gap on the way to the Llyn Peninsular but will be back to explore more soon. Kids and dog very happy 😊

A beautiful little spot for a few days. We pitched up next to the river and enjoyed the site immensely. Toilets and facilities were clean and tidy. The relaxed nature of the site allows for a real break away from the norm. The river is clear and wasn't too deep allowing for our children to play for hours in the hot weather. Some amazing places nearby to visit too. Loads of rivers, lakes and waterfalls as well as mountains and forests. The owner is really chilled and left us to it. Great value for money for a short summer break. Limited phone signal and WiFi which made it better I feel.

Stayed on this site on Monday we rang for any availability and was allowed to stay for the night the site had quite alot of pitches but a area was closed off due to the bad weather it was £28 per night with electric, the lady was very polite and welcoming. The campsite has 3 showers which were hot and 1 disabled (shower/toilet) there were also alot of toilets aswell with facilities (microwave,2 washing up sinks, cups/plates etc the view was gorgeous and the stay was very peaceful which I was surprised due to it being just off a main road. There was a field and a beautiful lake which would be lovely in the summer, we couldn't thank the lady enough when we arrived will definitely stay again!

Cycle toured through for one night. Grass was a bit long, and the foot path up to the toilet block was a over grown. And there was rather a dodgy stale water smell up there.... But I was camping on the bottom field. Toilets were clean and I loved the brown toilet paper.
Shower was perfect. So that's 5 stars from me.
No wind so quite midge infested. I still question the effectiveness of citronella candles.... But having cycled from Scotland i had a bottle of smidge to keep the pesky wee beasties away so they didn't crawl all over my exposed sweet flesh. Good scenery and the farm woman who runs it is a babe.

Really good campsite right next to a lovely river. Facilities were top notch with plenty of showers and toilets too! Appreciated to focus on sustainability. Lots of flat pitches and it was nice and quiet too, the noise from the road dies down in the evening. It is hard to get to if you are hiking there as you may well need to walk on the road which doesn’t have a footpath and the traffic is fast. Obviously nothing the host can do about this but something to bear in mind - probably better to catch a bus and ask to get off at the campsite. Still 5 star for the campsite.

Beautiful quiet rural campsite. Great location about 6 miles from Porthmadog. Facilities are spotless and Rob who helps out is really friendly. Just make sure you slow down enough to make the entrance in which is quite hidden and tight - especially when you arrive in the dark and are towing like I was. Oops.

Viv managed to fit us in on very short notice so that we could enjoy the rest of our two week holiday, thank you so much to Viv and her daughter for making us very welcome!. This is a lovely family run site with clean amenities and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for us especially when we have quite a few dogs! And two childeren. Thanks again guys will definitely visit again

Idyllic setting with stunning riverside fire friendly pitches. Plenty of space and good clean facilities, never underestimate the gratitude that comes with a warm shower.

The site communicated really well while arranging the booking. Great prices too.

Excellent campsite, fires encouraged too. You can buy bags of wood for £5 and use it in the fire pits by the river or put a £20 deposit on a fire bin thing. Toilet and shower blocks are clean and well maintained a double fresh drinking water is available on site. The river is great but a little cold to swim in in April (I tried). Just returning from my second visit and would happily visit again, owner is very kind and friendly and happy to help. Thank you Llechrwd!

Loved it, great location, very friendly owners. We had a fire by the river which was fantastic. Very close to Porthmadog, mountains and attractions. It was our second stay and we loved it as much as we did last time. It is a very quiet campsite with no shops etc.

Cannot recommend this place enough… absolutely stunning and had everything you need!! The place was tidy and clean and had clear instructions for everything. The owners were friendly and even one of their regulars recommended a walk to us. It was lovely to have the lambs about too…. Simple yet perfect. Toilets / showers were SO nice too! Can’t wait to go back!

Just spent a fab 3 days here. Don't listen to the haters, we had a great time!
We used it as a base for mountain biking in coed y Brenin and the zip wire in Ffestiniog.
The lower field could get a bit boggy in bad weather I suppose, but it was dry while we were here and was no problem for our van, and was fab being next to the river, which we got in after biking!
The showers were HOT and plenty of water! Toilets were clean too. Perfect!
It's not a caravan club site - it's a PROPER camp site, so don't expect a TV signal, in fact if you want to watch TV, stay at home!!
You do get a phone signal and 3G (I'm on EE).
Pay for the nights you are staying, as they don't do refunds. We paid for 2 then popped to the house and added another.
Nearest shop is a drive away (Spar in Ffestiniog) but we brought everything we needed so didn't need to go anyway.

We will be back again :)

Can't understand the complaints to be honest, some people wanna pay next to nothing but expect a five star hotel holiday. The same people probably expect a gourmet burger from McDonald's. Showers were always perfect for us. Me and 3 mates went September 2015 and couldn't have wished for more. As a group of young lads, we struggled to find anywhere because a lot of places have age-ist, sexist views (you couldn't legally ban a group based on religion, race or nationality so why on age and sex). But the owners here were happy to have us and we were extremely grateful and were always respectful to other campers and the owners. Not all young lads are anti-social yobs! Who knew? Great location, shops for supplies only a short drive away, nice river by the camp and you're able to have a campfire! Throw in the fact that there's shower facilities on site which always worked perfectly for us and there was never any queueing, I can't see any reason not to give 5 stars. It's camping! Can't see why one review was complaining about dirty showers, you can't expect the owners to clean it after every single person has a shower, that's down to the last person who used it, it's part of communal living on a campsite! Will definitely be back again later this year.

I have stayed here a few times. The fact it is next to the river, and away from everything is the best thing. The shower block and amenities are well kept, the owner is polite, chatty and courteous. You can buy eggs and other produce if it is available. You may have a fire in one of the fire pits ( the owner sells wood ) if you are next to the river. You can see the milky way on a clear night here. I very much enjoy myself here. This is a place for familes, couples, or anyone. ( The more intelligent camper who knows that getting out into the countryside is enriching, relaxing and cleansing ).

Had a lovely time with my mother and children! Toilets and showers clean, washing up area is equipped, fantastic man made fire pits by the river, beautiful views and surrounding areas and owners are lovely and helpful.
