As we walked in off the street, without a reservation, we were greeted with a smile but an empty restaurant.
A real log fire adds to the ambience and keeps the place comfortably warm.
The food was amazing, wife had curried chicken and I had the steak and kidney pudding, the gravy was AMAZING!.
Would definitely recommend going in if you're hungry and in the area.

Amazing food, waitress new about my allergies and was able to tell me what to avoid and what could be amended. Quirky and cosy.

We held our perfect wedding reception here on 22/12/2 in a beautiful, intimate setting (especially at Christmas time) with great food, drink and hospitality. The most delicious Sunday lunch the lamb was to die for! The roasties and veg were gorgeous and a huge yourkshire with the most amazing thick gravy!! Perfect!!

I had the most delicious lunch here, last week. Scallops to start, then mussels for my mains. I was too full for dessert, so went back in the evening for the classic Austrian Apfel Strudel. The food, atmosphere, service & staff are outstanding.

We regularly visit Illtud’s 216 as a couple, with family and with friends. Food is consistently top notch and the atmosphere and service is always warm and welcoming.

We were very excited to take advantage of the new takeout service last night and the food was as good as ever! Of a high quality and extremely delicious.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, best I have found in the Vale. Both lamb and beef were lovely..... But equally importantly the veg and gravy were really tasty unlike many other places where they are bland and tasteless. Also a great selection of desserts. . Highly Recommended!

I visited this restaurant recently and had a great evening. The staff are fabulous and the food equally good. We stumbled across this restaurant in the main Street not expecting to find it where we did - and we were so glad we did. Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere and a free car park opposite.
It is worth searching for this restaurant.

Delicious dishes served in generous portions and at very reasonable prices. You simply must try this place!

Fantastic food, fresh and extremely tasty. The service from our waiter Callum, was second to none. He couldn’t do enough for me and my wife, who has recently had treatment for Cancer and became unwell before meals arrived. Callum packed our food up and allowed us to take meals home. Much appreciated, will definitely return.

Had a stunning 3 course dinner here today. Not only top quality food, but so much of it, including desert (that's a rarity) lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended. Thanks
