Stayed here with my friend for a spa overnight break. From beginning to end it was a first class experience. The welcome was lovely from all staff. I don’t think I’ve ever come across such a friendly staff across the board. The food was excellent, we had a four course evening meal and Lovely breakfast. Our room was large with a separate lounge area. The hotel and room were spotless and the grounds stunning. Unfortunately the weather was grim so we couldn’t take advantage of that.
Our treatments were first class, as were the beauticians.
We would definitely recommend a stay in Lake Country House Hotel and Spa.

Stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Welcoming and friendly staff. We stayed in the Lodge, which was warm and comfortable with well thought-out traditional and modern theme mixes. The spa was a 2 minute walk away, and there was a superbly equipped bathroom with spa toiletries provided. The food was immaculately presented and delicious, and breakfast came with a wide selection of local foods, again, presented immaculately. The spa offers a decent sized pool, sauna, steam room, cosy gym, and outdoor hot tub looking onto the lake. There is also a little cafe in the spa. We were free to walk around the grounds and the lake, which is stocked with trout, and the hotel offers fishing licences. Dogs are welcome, and there's a friendly resident dog, too. Overall, everything you could want for a relaxing and first-class hotel experience in stunning Wales.

5* for all aspects of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautifully furnished both in our suite and public areas. Food and service in restaurant exceptional. Will be booking again, especially as didn't get time to use the pool and spa this time. Thank you for a fabulous stay .

Beautiful country house set in the most picturesque surroundings. Visited today for a spa day. Not too busy and had access to a steam room, pool, hot tub and sauna. Treatments I received were very good. For me what makes this place were the staff, from the lovely reception staff to the the lady providing the treatments I was made to feel very welcome. Definitely returning but will book an overnight stay next time.

My mum and I recently celebrated my mum's 60th birthday with a delightful spa day at Lake House Country Hotel, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality.

The staff at the spa were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail of our day was perfect. They went above and beyond to make my mum feel extra special on her birthday, showering her with thoughtful gifts and personalised attention throughout the day.

The spa facilities were lovely, with a small gym and outdoor hot tub providing a serene and relaxing environment for us to unwind and pamper ourselves. The groynds provided fresh air walks and beautiful nature to watch. From the tranquil atmosphere to the luxurious treatments, everything exceeded our expectations.

We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonderful experience. My mum couldn't stop raving about how wonderful the day was, and we're already planning our next visit. Thank you to the entire team at Lake House Country Hotel for making my mum's 60th birthday celebration so unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!

Booked a suprise getaway for my wife and I at the lake country house and it was great!
We don't live too far away and we didn't know such a gem existed so close.

The grounds are lovely...plenty of acres to explore. Staff were all polite and really helpful.
Lovely and warm inside with the log stoves on....thoroughly enjoyed my Madris in front of the one in main room.

Food was exceptional! Possibly the best meals I've ever had. Kudos to the chef!

Spa treatments, pool, sauna and hot tub were all great....we are early birds so we were the only people using the facilities at that time so that was perfect.

Only slight criticism was maybe the room/bathroom we stayed at could do with a little updating....some of the workmanship in the bathroom was a bit messy.

All in all had a great time. Definitely recommend

We happened to find this place on our journey elsewhere popped in for a light lunch. We then booked up for my birthday a couple of days later.
The service was excellent. Food superb. If we lived closer, we would definitely come back.

Wonderful 5 day stay at this privately owned Hotel and Spa when on an old car trip. No corporate branding here. Highlights were the staff who managed that tricky balance of being around if you had a request but not being intrusive or obsequious. Its always tricky feeding a large group but the dinners were tasty and varied. A special thanks for them putting on the full breakfast menu one morning when we had requested an early start, I think we were served by the owner. The place had a lovely old world charm but the plumbing worked, the two don't often go together. We didn't use the Spa but our fellow travellers who did said it was good. There are short strolls around the grounds and down the river to the village, which has a post office and the Hotel provides it own guides to longer walks and trips near by. Plenty of parking.

A beautiful place and we loved every minute. the staff and service was exceptional and we were treated very well. absolutely loved it. the only reason I dropped a star on the room was because the bathroom was a little tired and poor workmanship on the floor tiling, but that is not a big issue and didn't affect our stay.

Stayed for one night on Saturday 18th of March. What a wonderful peaceful location for a relaxing night away. Was bought an afternoon tea by our son so turned it into a night away with evening meal and breakfast the next morning. The food and service was excellent locally sourced produce on the menu with a varied selection for all needs, the wine list was excellent and caters for everyone's budget. The room we stayed in was huge with a large bathroom and everything you need was available, First class facilities available pool, spa, hot tub the grounds are spread over 50 acres including 2 lakes. All in all an excellent break away will definitely be back come the summer.

A wonderful stay at The Lake Country House Hotel - very friendly staff, lovely traditional feel, great facilities with the spa and pool being open to guests - take in the views of the lake from the hot tub! Rounded off with a tasty meal and a nice choice of drinks. Thanks to Luke and the team for making a super treat weekend. And if you like driving then the roads are amazing too!!

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at in the UK. The Lake Country House and Spa are located in the most beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside of mid west Wales. Our stay was very quiet and relaxing, -for once you are not bombarded by the health sapping noise of background music. The hotel is ideal for guests who are slightly older and more upmarket and definitely not for people who need to drink enough for five and make enough noise for ten to enjoy themselves. The food, accommodation and spa are excellent. Thank you to the team for providing us with a wonderful stay. We have already booked a return visit in the Autumn/Winter.
