The Trop Co

Trop Co has been my primary supplier of tropical fish and invertebrates for 4 years now. Their customer service is absolutely excellent and very personable. Of around 50 total orders over the years the stock has arrived healthy and acclimated perfectly fine - aside from one order (unavoidable sometimes when shipping livestock) which was dealt with swiftly and effectively upon their receiving of my evidence. Trop Co have the highest standard of all the tropical fish and invertebrate suppliers I have worked with and I look forward to continuing using them as my primary source. You can rely on Trop Co and their courier service. Excellent.

Cannot recommend enough. Over the years I have purchased livestock and live plants from various specialist outlets with mixed results. The main thing that stands out to me with this company is the welfare and overall health and standard of both the shrimp and the plants I've received.
The shipping speed and standard of welfare for the animals being couriered was outstanding. Huge amount of protection, heat packs and thought clearly goes into transporting their livestock.
The shrimp themselves are a difficult species to find in a good condition, being handled too often as disposable profit, but the two specimens I received from Trop Co were in paramount condition, and were clearly well cared for prior to arriving with me. 5 days later, they have taken well to their new home and are feeding and exploring slowly as they settle in. (Named Grawp and Ludo 😊)
The live plants were also in excellent condition. Very healthy, and far a superior quality to plants I have happily received for the same price etc from other companies. Shrimp and snail safe, they are also settling well in my tank, looking healthy and stable.
Not a massive reviewer, but wanted to share as I know how hard it can be to find good morals re welfare and quality in a livestock supplier, and as a secret fish nerd/ lover I don't generally have anyone to ask so I rely on reviews to find good stuff for my fish babies.

The farm is really clean great team of staff and the tanks are so clean.
The fish are of very good quality and well took care of. Your fish are packed well in bags then in a box with a nice little heat pad to kèep your fish warm when you take them home. If you want good quality fish then please give this farm a try. I will be going again or order from them soon.

Brought a a lot of fish in one big go for our 420 liter tank out of the 100+ fish only died while it was in transit ( totally expected ) other then that it was extremely well packed sealed all fish is healthy and each bag had a bit of almond leave putted inside top guys well recommended

Thought I'd say how helpful and knowledgeable the staff are. What excellent price and prompt safe delivery but then I thought I would just let these beauties I got recently do the talking. 😊

This shop is without a doubt one of the best in the uk. I recently ordered 6 blue neon goby with dx next day delivery. Not only was the fish extremely well packaged (probably the best I have ever seen) but I received an extra goby as well. Very good service I cannot recommend highly enough,if you order from these guys you won't be disappointed.

I feel so lucky to live local to tropco as I visit there regularly with my family. Amazing quality fish cared by professionals always ready to help. All fish I bought from here have been very healthy and from good stock. A gem!

Getting hold of certain predatorary/odd ball species is a nightmare to find a shop that stocks them is rare! Placed a order online arrived nice and warm well packaged the fish true aggressive nature nearly inch longer then listed bonus! Many thanks guys

I've ordered twice from tropco over the past few months, buying various fish, some shrimp and 2 turtles. All arrived high quality and healthy, no deaths or illness during or after delivery. Packaging was generous and My specific requests were met. Would definitely recommend.

Such a wide range of livestock and incredibly clean tanks all livestock look happy and healthy . Friendly staff goods well packaged. Would highly recommend. I bought 5 cherry shrimp and 5 yellow fire shrimp very happy with purchase.

Made an online order and had some trouble with the delivery company. Gave them a call and they sorted it out asap. Great products can’t fault them. Will definitely use again.

In excess of 20 neocaridina delivered, only expected 20, within 24 hours of delivery booked. Delivered when Tropco said they would and all 20+ are alive and well, and of a high quality with some nice vibrant neos. 110% recommended!

Have been here a few times now and has become my go to for livestock. Fair prices and good stock. Helpful staff. Dont wear a coat.... it is bloody boiling in there!

Popped down to visit this wonderful facility last weekend. The staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. He assisted me with selecting the correct species for my fairly new system. He advised a product called goop which boosted my filter allowing me to stock a good quantity of fish.

Tank is now looking amazing, bright and colourful fish. The entire family love watching the tank of an evening.

Absolutely spot on company. Recently set my aquarium up again and they came highly recommended. I've bought fish, plants and other bits from there without any problem. Staff were really helpful, advised me on some plants and tank care along with food and treatments. Very helpful for a beginner trying to do it ‘right’!
