Love my new Story home. It's a quality build in a lovely peaceful area, with cycling and walking routes.

I bought one, what more do you want?

Having to wade in and deal with matters, at the eleventh hour, due to Story shirking their responsibilities towards my parents (buyers) with only 6 months of their warranty remaining. Problem after problem after problem, met by unprofessionalism after unprofessionalism after unprofessionalism. Please keep an eye out in the press, as I plan on exposing the detailed facts very soon. Utterly appalling workmanship on various aspects of the build, and equally appalling service received from an aftermarket perspective. They literally take your money and run. Avoid this business and their developments would be my advice.

The only 5 star properties are their Show Homes. I even had a Story emplyee state...people expect Show Home standards but you don't get them. Leave a review stating the problems you're having and their cut and paste response is....sorry, this is not how we want our customers to feel.....Well wake up Story, this is how you leave many of your customers feeling. Shameful. Conned into believing you're buying a home built to 5 star standard, I only gave you 1 star to enable me to leave a review. Your money pot is full and you obviously don't want to dip into it to sort customers problems. Bigger bonuses, obviously. Look after yourselves! Many defects but you choose to call them cosmetic to wash your hands of them. Shameful!!!!
HAWKSLEY RISE next. Well it's already risen and fallen. Your grand opening took place over a year ago. Now it's trying to RISE again! Good luck! I say that sarcastically, only a fool would buy from you, which WE now feel.
Keep your money for another builder in the area with better Customer Care!
Story's don't care!

From the very start of my experience with story homes the communication was very poor. I reserved a plot and never got official confirmation of this. I then was told that after 6 weeks that as my mortgage hadn't been sorted due to complications that it was then going into an "open reservation" with no real explanation of what this meant. Then on the day I got my mortgage through I got notification from my solicitor that my reservation had been cancelled. When I then went into see the sales representative he told me he didn't know what was going on, but hoped it hadn't been cancelled as "he couldn't be bothered to sell the plot twice" after another week without hearing from them I managed to speak to the head office who told me the reservation was cancelled weeks ago and had now been reserved by someone else. This has lead to me now needing to find somewhere to live with a months notice and weeks of stress trying to force a mortgage application through as quickly as I could. All of these issues could have been resolved by better communication from their staff as I was regularly sending emails with no response and also trying to call directly with no answer.
