The Farm House Kitchen Durham

Enjoyed my beautiful breakfast thoroughly. I had sautéed chestnut mushrooms and spinach with poached eggs on sourdough toast. Relaxing ambiance m, just what I need on a weekend morning! Staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Will be back again for breakfast

Came just after 9am Wednesday morning and it was nice and quiet. Ordered Eggs Benedict and Scrambled Egg (both on sourdough with dry-cured bacon). Was delicious 🤩
Coffee was lovely and smooth 😊 defo coming again. Staff lovely too.

My gluten free ham, pear & white wine chutney sandwich was so good. Service was with a smile & really good.

Fantastic food as always.
Plenty of on-site parking.
Play area for the dogs.

First time we've been here. We thought we would try it out. A lovely building with a nice atmosphere, the weather was cold but inside it was warm, even right next to the outside door where we sat. The toilets are lovely and clean, food was amazing and good value, the service was excellent, ther was a lovely lady who seated and served us, she was very attentive and brilliant with our little boy.

The lady who brought our food to us was also lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.

It wasn't too busy and there was plenty of parking. Nicest place I've at for quite a while. Would 100% recommend and we will be coming back here again.

Just been for breakfast wth my daughters. Food was lovely as were the staff.

Our large party of 12 people arrived with no booking and were seated immediately. The service was outstanding, nothing was a bother. The facilities were lovely. The variety of the menu and quality of the food was very impressive.

Really cosy place. Great bacon sandwich - very good quality bacon. Not hurried, plenty of time to sit and enjoy. The staff are lovely.

I had a fantastic lunch at The Farmhouse Kitchen with my daughters. The staff were so friendly and kind. The soup I ordered was delicious but too spicy for me and I was immediately offered an alternative lunch when I asked for a glass of water.
It's a lovely warm place to eat out, both in terms of the temperature and the welcome.
We will definitely be going back. Thank you ladies!

Myself and members of my family come here regularly, the food is beautiful, the service is always great and the staff are very friendly, nothing is a problem to them. We always recommend the farmhouse kitchen to anyone.

What a beautiful hidden gem. Greeted by two of the nicest women who referred to us by name. Explained all the information needed to dine with them. The breakfast was so good and coffee was fab. Really lovely place which gave us a feeling of being somewhere other than right on our doorstep.

Visited today and was welcomed & looked after by Debbie. Cheery and friendly, she brought our food and drinks outside to our table and chatted for a minute or so. Such a difference from so many indifferent coffee places.

Quality of coffee was excellent as was the bacon & egg sandwich (good quality bacon too!) and a toasted teacake.

Definitely a place for repeat visits. There’s even a fenced off area where you can let your dog have a run around.

If you’re in the area…then visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Brilliant traditional English cafe. I went for the Cheese and Chive Scone which was delicious. It came with two large sliced of cheddar and a delightful pot of chutney.
My partner being from Australia has been chasing a traditional English scone with cream and jam. She was not disappointed.
The owner Annie is so friendly and was always happy to talk.

Had lunch here yesterday with two relatives.This was the first time I had eaten here, but it won't be the last. The staff were warm and friendly and the food!!!! Wow! The baked potato 🥔 ( with coronation chicken) was cooked to perfection. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with custard. Again; delicious!! Could not fault anything and gave my compliments to the chef.👌👌👌

Fantastic food drinks and service.
We are regular visitors and can’t fault anything at all.
You don’t need to be told to keep up the good work because it’s always faultless.

We love visiting here and do so regularly. All staff are friendly, inviting and cannot do enough to help you make tour visit a pleasurable experience. The food is always delicious and I've yet to find something on the menu I didn't enjoy. There have gluten free options too. I would definitely recommend a visit!
