Very attentive customer service would be the highlight of this place. The food isn’t far behind either. The menu for vegetarians are decent and the wine options are extensive. The Christmas festivities were pleasing and we had a merry time out there.

Highly recommend the garlic and butter mussels. The fries are deliciously crunchy and you can dip it in the sauce after! I'm normally not a beer drinker but I loved their specialty, cherry beer.

Top notch food, great selection of Belgian beers and friendly service. We got the “Dubbel Deal” which made the food incredible value for money. Highly recommend

Amazing selection of beers, including everyone's favourite: the cherry beer! I've never had a sit down meal here before but the drinks (and chips) are delicious. The beer garden is cute and sits next to an old church - there's also patio heaters so you can sit outside anytime of year. Dogs are allowed in the garden but not in the restaurant.

First time at the Belgian Monk today for lunch, didn't have a booking but a table was available. The liver & bacon was delicious & my wife had the pork belly (which she said was better than one she tried the other week elsewhere) a very good selection of beers, tried a couple I've never had before & was superb. Two mains for £25.... excellent value for money!! Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.

Really nice place with a really nice atmosphere.
Definetly not worth walking past...Get in and, get a proper beer at 11% or 22% alcohol proof if you like.
Tastes are well nice.

Came in for a quick drink. Lovely pub with incredibly friendly staff. While we didn't eat, the fish and chips smelled absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere was really nice - we felt like we could have sat and drunk the afternoon away!

They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The staff know the menu well and can guide you to something you will more than likely enjoy.

A nice little spot service some great food and drink with an amazing atmosphere. The Belgian Monk is a great spot if you want to have a nice pint in the outdoor beer garden in the summer, or if you want to chill out and have some amazing Belgian cuisine. Food is great and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend.

Visited with my foreign friends and was very impressed with food quality and taste! We all work in kitchen and know what is good food standards, And believe me we all during our dinning time was only complimenting our dishes! Staff is very helpful and friendly Will suggest you what to order if you never had Belgium kitchen food before! Drinks.. I don’t need to speak about it.. on off the best place for beer here In Norfolk! Come and visit this place will not be disappointed 🥴👍

Excellent selection of Belgian beer - managed to try a few I haven’t come across before! Friendly staff too who are happy to help you decide which beer to go for.

Also had a meal here - we meant to have mussels but unfortunately they ran out by the time we went, so ordered something else instead (pie).

If you are a beer/brewing enthusiast, this is the pub for you. Amazing beer menu. Staff were very friendly and the food was great ( mussels are a speciality). Highly recommended!

Still the same. Much more varied menus but the old faithful mussels still served in many ways either as a starter or main. Beers are amazing with such a variety. Staff are polite and service is very good. Obviously not so crowded these days but I like that. Outside has improved considerably with heated tables to allow dining in cold weather. Have always loved this place. Highly recommended.

This is of the best restaurants we’ve been to this year. We’re based in London and were in town for a short trip. Very impressed with the huge range of quality Belgian beers. The food was excellent and good value - I had tartiflette and my husband had moules. Lovely warm atmosphere and friendly service. Perfect night out!

Food was extremely affordable when we went with the 2 meals at lunchtime for £15.50, and in no way did the price detract from the quality or quantity! The menu had a huge selection and all the food we tried was very well made. They also have a wide range of Belgian beer and some cider to round out the experience. Will definitely be back to try some more of the menu!

Such an amazing pub! I loved the style. Food was delicious and finally something different than in most of pubs. Waffle for dessert - no words. It was mastership. Staff was so nice and the prices affordable!

Excellent food and service. We were a large group for dinner, highly recommend pre-ordering meals, this helped the staff and allowed us to have a wonderful group meal, seamless service. Portions are generous, everything was perfectly prepared. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful pub...great food and excellent variety of beverages. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The place is just a great place to relax, chat and enjoy excellent food. Epic little Belgian bar with classic food and a beautiful beer list. Close to the northern hotels and the canal. Great garden at the back.
Booking is advised as we’ve seen loads of folks turned away looking for larger tables.

Tip: Get the Tartiflette and add the spicy sausages on top. (Lacking ham in our portion - totally fixed it)

The Belgian Monk is a fantastic pub nestled in the Norwich Lanes. We recently discovered their courtyard is dog friendly so have been visiting more as we can pop in if we’re in town but have our dog with us. I’m usually a cider drinker but the fruit beers they have on offer are so yummy. My favourites are the lindeman’s apple beer and the raspberry beer. There is sooo much choice for other beers though! We are always served by enthusiastic & friendly staff and the food is also delicious! Highly recommended The Belgian Monk!! 🍻
