The Rumsey Wells

I haven't rated food as I didn't purchase the pies they sell, however I can confirm they do look good!

I visited for the first time Saturday evening (27/04/24) and I'm not from Norwich. Where I live the pubs aren't friendly or have any character, where as this place has everything.

The beer mat drawings give it a personal feel which is inviting. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Mixture of characters!

I paid £4.80 for a vodka and coke and truthfully that's a pretty good price, especially on a weekend and being almost central. I love the ice and slice extras.

There were live DJs and all three played different mixes, so there was something to suit everyone. Great for locals!

Would 100% recommend a visit to thus place.

We've always enjoyed a beer and sometimes food here after a busy shop in the city and on the way to St Andrews car park. A welcome relaxed break. Now we can say we've also enjoyed a fabulous party downstairs too in the cellar 🎉🥳🎈🎂👌

Superb place, take a felt tip as putting your signature or art on the walls in encouraged and offers most unique wallpaper effect, as for electrosynth night, totally loved it and done a 20 min set there, my 1st ever. 10/10.

An amazing atmosphere, with friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. Amazing selection of food and drink, with great service. I always recommend The Rumsey Wells to anyone. Also, the Nut Butter beer is amazing!

Nice, grungy pub, friendly, welcoming staff...went to the Underbelly Comedy Club - quite a laugh, and then stayed on to hear "The He Hews" who were exceptional. Nice pints of Ghost Ship also.

Lovely staff and delicious drinks on draught. Friendly atmosphere, some good classic music playing but not too loud and a good crowd. Would definitely recommend the adnams ciders!

Only popped in but ended up staying all night, until they closed at 1 am. Excellent alternative/ gosh night downstairs and free entry. Great find

They specialize in pies so I had high hopes. Really tasty, will be back to try them all!

Good music and even better drinks choices, the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready and happy to assist you.

They also offer a selection of delicious pies and pizzas to quell your hunger needs. Pies can be served with mash mushy peas and gravy to make it a full meal, or just the pie for a quick snack. There are a variety to choose from and they will leave you full and satisfied.

This is a very quirky pub and a must visit whilst you are in Norwich. There is also a small beer garden towards the back of the premises and an extra space downstairs when busy. If you want a good atmosphere, this is the place to go.

A great Norwich staple of pubs. They serve a great selection of pies and other meals. There's a nice outside courtyard round the back as well as a cosy downstairs which hosts music events. Unique interior design with all the walls by the bar covered with placemats which all have unique drawings on them and stickers.

Always love an Adnams beer and this city centre pub keeps them perfectly. With a landlord always quick to help me with my buggy I love popping in this place whenever I can

There is always decent pint at The Rumsey. It’s the best place in town for a cheeky couple. The team at The Rumsey are lovely and the music is good.
What more do you want or need?

If you like pie, this is the place to be. Damn tasty food and a great atmosphere.

I highly recommend Adam Kingston. The Rumsey Wells is the only pub that has one, so why go anywhere else?! I asked him for a double vodka and coke and it's exactly what I got. Can't put a price on that level of service.

Amazing staff made me feel like a regular even though I was a walk in. Would highly recommend the service. The beer was nice and crisp aswell
